Merry Christmas Tree

I love seeing the Christmas Tree all lit up and surrounded by gifts.

I'm usually so busy with dinner and games that I forget to take pictures of the tree.
I remembered this year!

I scrapped these pictures using this challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

I added some gold trimmed acrylic embellishments.
The dimensional ornaments are from K&Company.
I added some gold glitter Stickles to them to make them shine even more.
I wasn't feeling the "glitter and sparkle" enough, so I outlined some of my papers with the gold Stickles too.

Off to order this year's pictures!

December 25th

Almost done scrapping previous years Christmas pictures!  Now I just have to sort through hundreds of new pics from this year.

This was a fun page as I finally had a thought on using all those little word strips.
I added some black and white braided ribbon and these really pretty poinsettia pieces I found at Hobby Lobby.

I used this sketch from Sketch n Scrap # 215:

As I work on these pages, I'm already making a list of things I will need for this year's pictures.

Happy Holidays!!!

It's Christmas morning!  We have a dusting of snow but it's soooo cold outside!!

I had a wonderful time with my family last night for our Christmas party.  Lots of food, games, presents and laughter.

Here is a picture from last year of my Mom, sister and me:

I used Simple Stories Say Cheese Christmas collection.
I love the Disney vibes!
I added my own little hidden Mickeys to my enamel dot scatters.

Here is the sketch I used from  Sketches in Thyme #450:

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!!

My Sunshine

This past summer, my daughter and one of her friends went to a sunflower farm.  I didn't know they existed!  I am so putting this on my bucket list for next year.  The pictures she took were beautiful!

I started this page by playing with today's mood board challenge from Cookin' Up Creations:

Once I saw the bright yellows and that picture of the shoes among the flowers, I knew which pics I wanted to scrap.

My second step was choosing this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #449:

I used a crumpled up napkin and some blue paint to "mess up" my background.
PSA - after a few dabs, the napkin starts to stick to the paper...lol.
I used one of my templates from my cutting system and a brown marker to create the different sized circles.
The flowers are a mix of felt flowers from Michael's, some random leaves and Martha Stewart sunflower stickers.
My title was a print and cut from a Pinterest board.

Now that I have avoided everything I was supposed to do tonight, I'm going to bed.
Baking in the morning!

'tis the season

I have Christmas scraps all over my corner!  I put them to good use making this page:

Scraps and doilies to create layers for my pictures.
I used my texture paste for the first time!
I used a stencil and made snowflakes on my background.
I then added some white brads to the centers.

I stuck with this color palette for the challenge from White with 1:

I miss parties this like!

WISH

We recently celebrated my niece's 6th birthday!

This was really fun to work with.
I was able to find a few cute things in the stash.
I used my coluzzle cutting system to make my circles with some scraps.
I pulled out the misting sprays for the background paper.
I then outlined them with gold Stickles.
While looking for birthday goodies,  I found these fun little shaker balloons.
A few random flowers and some fun metal star clips added more dimension.
I found this cute little unicorn idea on one of Jana's pages.

Here is the sketch from Stick it Down Sketches that inspired me:

I am an Original

This was a fun page to put together.  I was surprised and how fast it came to mind.

First I was inspired by today's mood board from Cookin' Up Creations:

These colors are so pretty!  This brought to mind the Zodiac Stack from DCWV.

I was originally going to use flowers to work with this sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

But once I saw all of these zodiac cards from the stack, I thought I would put them to use.

I then added a LOT Stickles around EVERYTHING....lol.
The alphas are a mix from the stash.
While looking for stars, I found these fun holographic stickers - perfect for a zodiac page.

SO happy with how this all came together.

Holiday Cheer

I'm determined to get a page done every night before bed.  So far, so good!

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap's Facebook challenge group:

To play along with the Winter / Snow / Christmas challenge from Use Your Stuff.
I added some stamps (Fa La La and the little poinsettias).  I added some Nuvo Drops to the centers of the flowers.

JINGLE

This doesn't happen very often, but I just got a box of Simple Stories Say Cheese Christmas goodies today.....and used it immediately!!

Usually I have to savor the stuff for a while.  Look at it for a few days and take my time deciding the best way to use it.

But this was just too fun to put away!

I used these goodies for this Monday's challenge at Cookin' Up Creations:

Today's challenge was to use this moodboard:

.

With this sketch as an option.
I never pass up a great sketch!

And I am still having a lot of fun using up some Nuvo Drops.

Use Your Stuff has a new challenge this week to use Snow / Winter / Christmas theme.
Since I haven't been able to get snow pictures for a years, I opted to stick with my Christmas projects.

Christmas

 Last page for tonight:

I broke out the misting sprays (had to clean the nozzles, it's been so long...lol)
And my coluzzle cutting system.

I added stickers but put them on pop dots for a bit of dimension.
I found these holly stickers with the swirls on clearance and Michael's.
I stocked up on them.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketches in Thyme #447:

Good night!

A Very Merry Christmas

Finally got a chance to work with the challenge at Creative Embellishments:

I've had this cute little title Christmas Tree for a while.
Now that I have a stash of Nuvo Drops, I was inspired to decorate.
And I had to add more of the little gift stickers too.

Here is the photo inspiration for this month's challenge:

Merry Merry Christmas

I love that my family all gets together and has lots of fun on the holidays.

I put this page together using scraps, a bunch of gift tags I found at Hobby Lobby and GIANT buttons I found at Michael's.

I love using buttons and these were calling me because they were perfect for Christmas pages.
How could I resist??

I'm using this page for the Anything Goes challenge from Challenge Yourself.
It's very rare to find myself in a few pictures so I had to make sure to make the best of it.

And I will be making a point of making sure I am in more pictures this year!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Our Christmas Pet

So happy that my pictures FINALLY came in!!  I haven't printed Christmas pictures in a while.

Here are some pics of when we surprised the kids with a pet tortoise on Christmas Eve a few years ago.

I am using this for the Anything Goes challenge at Lasting Memories this week.

My tree was put together with green doilies I found.
I added Stickles for garland, Mickey confetti, and sequins for ornaments.
My star was hand cut and Stickled.
And then I used a bunch of foam stickers of gifts.

BEST PET EVER!!

No Peeking!!

Good morning!  It's a cold, miserable, rainy day - perfect for staying in and scrapping all day.

I saw this sketch by Allison Davis which required a large circle.  I looked through all of my scraps and could find anything I needed that was already cut - of course.
While searching I found this beautiful handmade fiber paper.
I have no idea how long it has been in the folder!

I had to handcut the circle.  My cutter kept catching the fibers and tearing. It took a while to do.
I then went through the jar of trims and found this perfect trim.
Thanks to Hobby Lobby, I had these beautiful flowers to add.
And lastly, thanks to Michael's sticker clearance, I had the gift stickers.

I did this page with challenge # 527 from Lasting Memories in mind.
The challenge was to use a item that starts with each letter of the word LIGHTS.

Here is my list:
L - layers
I - ink
G - gifts
H - Holiday theme
T - trim
S - stickers

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

I woke up to SNOW this morning!!   And it was coming down quickly with GIANT snowflakes!!  I am so not ready for this!!  UGH!!!

I'm ready to hibernate, so I may have to run to the store to make sure I have everything I need....to scrap for months, in case we get snowed in...lol.

It actually barely covered the grass, but still!!  I'm not ready for it yet!!

I put this page together using a lot of bits and pieces from the supply basket:

Carta Bella goodies, plaid ribbon, a tag, metal accent piece, flowers, Nuvo drops...a bit of everything.

Here is the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy that inspired my page:

Now I have to make sure I can find my shovel!

Merry & Bright

I am running out of Christmas pictures!!  I have a huge order that is expected to be delivered by the 11th. I have pulled out all of my Christmas scrapping goodies and I NEED my pictures!!

Here is a page I did using a sketch from Sketch N Scrap # 214:

The green background paper was actually in the scrap drawer.
The smaller circle die cut is from Little Yellow Bicycle - obviously has been around for a while.
I added many bits and pieces to try and dress up my page.
The cut outs of the reindeer and tree are a set I bought from a FB group.
And the banner piece is from a patterned sheet from Carta Bella.

Here is the original sketch from Sketch N Scrap #214:

Happy Holidays

I Love finding random photos on my phone.  My daughter LOVES taking my camera around the room and snapping candids.

These pics of my daughter, sister and Mom are the greatest!

I played along with the Tic Tac Toe board from Stacy this month:

I went down the left side:
Tag
Chipboard
Enamel Dots

I got started using this sketch from Rochelle:

So glad to find most of these goodies on clearance at Hobby Lobby!

Dear Santa....

This has certainly been a trying year for everyone.  But on the good side, with so many things being cancelled, there were much less opportunities to get into trouble...lol.

So there is nothing wrong with asking Santa for a second chance:

I have sooo much Christmas scrapping stuff, it will take me the next 20 years to get through it all!

I pulled together a few things for challenge # 526 from Lasting Memories.
We were given a list and had to pick 3 things from the list.
I chose a few extra:

Gold
Green
Washi
Tag
Circle

I sure hope the rest of my pictures get delivered soon!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Be filled with Joy

Good morning!!!  I'm stalling going out to the shed to start bringing in the Christmas decorations....

I  know I really want to get the majority up today, but my scrap desk was calling me!

I had pulled out all of my scrap stash to get ready for Christmas pages.
These pictures are from last year.
I have pics from 2015 to work on!

Here is the color palette from Lasting Memories that inspired me:

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I thought this 2 pager was appropriate to work on the day before Thanksgiving.

This was from last year.
We won't be getting together like this for this year.
So glad I was able to score lots of pictures from the family.

I added a few hexagons for the Studio Challenges idea for the November challenge.
I inked all of the edges and then proceeded to cover most of them up with other embellishments...lol.

Here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme #444 that inspired me.

I'm not usually a fan of 2 page layouts, but since I had so many pictures that were pretty similar, it worked perfectly.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving this year!   Stay safe

Family - Thanksgiving

I love that I have so many pictures form Thanksgiving!  I usually don't take many pictures but having the whole family together and EVERYONE having a camera - it makes for many photo ops!

I used up a few more of these veneer leaves I found at Michael's.

Here is sketch #446 from Sketches in Thyme that inspired my page:

Pool Party

Since I am not ready for Winter yet,  I was so happy to see this distraction from the new challenge at Cookin' Up Creations.

The challenge was to lift this page from the gallery by BarbP:

We also had to use a water / beach / pool theme.
I had these great pics from a pool party we had over the summer.
We weren't able to have many, so we made sure this was a good one!

I played along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge from Use Your Stuff too:

I went across the bottom - any sketch - Brads/ bling - design paper.

The sketch I used is from Sketch N Scrap:

Take time...

I have been glued to the computer watching Season 4 of The Crown!  So while I watch, I play.

Tonight's project was brought to you by the wonderful challenges from Scrap Our Stash:

I used bits and pieces of a paper pad from One Canoe Two - Willow.
The watercolor paper is mostly hidden behind my title.
I used some chipboard bits from Creative Embellishments - all painted white.
For the circle element in the sketch, I used a doily and added a circle cut from the same patterned papers.

Time for a another episode!
