Holiday Goals

Good morning!!  Day 2 of Nothing to do but scrap!!

I used a cut file filled with triangles for the shape challenge from Lasting memories.

LM #630 - Shapes (April 2022) - Create a layout and choose one of the following shapes to feature on it:

Triangles, circles, hearts, or hexagons

I added some metal brads and worked out my label maker to create my goals.

Grateful

I hope everyone has been enjoying this holiday season!!  It's been busy, chaotic and fun!

Now that things are winding down, I am finding more time to scrap.  It helps that my company is closed for the rest of the year too.

Here is a fun page I created using challenge #629 from Lasting Memories:

LM #629 - New Challenges/New Ideas (January 2022) Create a monochromatic layout and use black and white photos. Neutral colors are allowed (black, white, off-white, kraft, and grey).

I chose gold for my monochromatic color.
Who knew there were so many different shades of gold??
I found all of these fun pieces in the stash.
The flowers are a mix of different sets from Paper Studios.
The papers are from DCWV.
And then I added a few Nuvo Drops to finish it off.

Merry and Bright!

One of our favorite things to do during the holiday season is drive around everywhere and look at all the Christmas lights.  The displays get bigger, better and brighter every year.

These are some fun photos my friend and I took while at one of the local Village Hall displays.
I put this together using this sketch from Scrappy Friends challenge by Rochelle:

We are heading out tonight to see even more displays.
So much fun!

You are one of a kind

Hello!  Before I spend the day decorating, shopping and cleaning, I needed to sneak in one more page for the day:

I used a masculine collection from Photoplay:  I think it's called Man Card.
The colors just worked with my picture.

The tags have been in the stash forever, along with the ribbon and buttons.
The flowers are new from Hobby Lobby.

I played with challenge # 628 from Lasting Memories.
It's a "wedding" challenge - to use something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

Here is my list:
old - buttons and ribbon
new - flowers
borrowed - a sketch
blue - papers

Adventures in Dining

Happy Sunday!  Things are so chaotic around here - but you gotta find time to wind down and have some fun!

I worked with Reservations at Tusker House digital kit from Kellybell Designs:

After printing out a bunch of different options, I sat down to watch Firefly Lane while I fussy cut everything.
I forgot to get a pic of my mess...lol

Here is the end result:

I am so happy with how this turned out!

Off to sort out more pics for the next page!

Thanks for stopping  by!!

Merry Merry Merry!!

I can't believe it has taken me 3 days to finish up this page!!!  Things are so busy around here, I barely made it to my desk most days.

I love the added pinks in these Simple Stories papers.
They worked perfectly with my Mom's pinks jumpsuit....lol.

I played Tic Tac Toe with Stacy to put this page together.
I went across the middle:
3 word title
two photos
ephemera

The ephemera pieces are all from the same Simple Stories collection.
I also added some random stickers that were in the stash, buttons and twine.

A VERY Merry Christmas!

These are some of my favorite pictures from last year - we were able to find a PS5 for my son!  He was so truly excited and happy!  They were so hard to find, he had given up all hope.

I went through my whole Christmas stash looking for just the right colors and pieces.

I was inspired by challenge #627 from Lasting Memories:

LM #627 - Love Your Stash (March 2022) - Create a layout and use 3 or more patterned papers, stickers (this can be any sticker - puffy, chipboard, or cardstock stickers), trim (washi tape, ribbon, twine, etc.), punches/die-cuts/ephemera, and finishing touches (enamel dots, brads, sequins, bling, splatters, etc.)

I used 3 different patterned papers, 3 stickers, 3 die cuts and sets of 3 enamel dots.

Use that stash!!

Meet me at the Pumpkin Patch

Happy Sunday!  It's so cold outside, I do not plan on setting one foot out there!  lol

I will be working at my desk in between loads of laundry.

Here is a page I was happy to work on because I was able to use up a lot of pictures from this one trip to the pumpkin patch.

I used up lots of goodies from an Echo Park kit I just got from the Scraproom Blog.
I added some twine and jute, along with some buttons.

Here is this week's sketch from Lasting Memories that got me motivated to use up all these pictures:

October 31st

Sneaking in a post while I'm at work!  SSShhhh.....

I pulled out some older Basic Grey paper for my background.
The strips are all from the Halloween scrap bin.
I also found these fun Halloween brads and banners too!

Here is the sketch that inspired me from Lasting Memories # 623:

I dont normally do 2 page layouts, so given the option, I chose to work on just the left side of the sketch.

Autumn Leaves and Pumpkins Please

Hello!  I have the house to myself tonight so I am spending it playing at my desk.

Here is the first of at least 2 pages I hope to finish up tonight:

I went through the scraps to find just the right pieces.
I used a bunch of different colored inks to create my leaf patterned paper.
These fun pumpkins stickers I found at Dollar Tree.
I love that they are not traditional colors.
I also pulled a piece of burlap paper to create another "frame".
And finally, I added some charms with twine just to get them out of the stash...lol.

I was inspired by this month's sketch from Scrappy Friends and Rochelle:

It's a Sweet Life

I think I'm stuck on the word "sweet" this weekend....lol.

I've been having fun playing with some Cocoa Vanilla collections that I "had to have" and then I'm afraid to use them.
This was made with mostly scraps that I have been hoarding from previous pages.

I used this week's sketch from Lasting Memories:

I am a huge fan of Allison Davis sketches too!

Thanks for stopping by!!

So Sweet

I have so many kitty pictures nowadays.  They are the best snugglers!

I used lots of different pieces from Cocoa Vanilla collections.
The flower ephemera is on pop dots and I folded them up a bit for dimension.

I used this Tic Tac Toe board from Stacy at Scrappy Friends challenges this month:

I went across the middle:
enamel dots
a square
metal (brads)

I Love You

Scrapping those scraps!  I used nothing but scraps for this adorable page of my daughter playing with some kitty kats.

I started out with the Scrappy Friends sketch from Rochelle:

I dug through all my scraps to find just the right colors.
I added an enamel square with ribbon and scattered a few paw print stickers.

I tried to add some older rub on stitching but I guess they were too old and just wouldn't work.
Oh well, I guess it just means I need to purge the old stuff again.

The Snuggle is Real

Good morning!  I am lucky enough to have this Labor Day to be able to play all day at my desk.

Here is my first page of the day:

I tried to put this together for this week's challenge from Lasting Memories - Out of your comfort zone - colors.

When I found this set of kitty stickers, I was trying to figure out how to put this page together with all of these odd colors - the pink and blue and gray was cute, but then the brown and orangey colors were throwing me off.

I think it came together okay.
And I used a chipboard title and I had stashed.

Picture Perfect

Lucky enough to have this long weekend to work on my pictures.

Here is a a fun page I finished up using a lot of old stash:

I used this Tic Tac Toe board from Scrap With Stacy for this month's Scrappy Friends challenge:

I went right down the middle  -
brackets
one photo
gems/ pearls

I dug through the stash and pulled out some pearl flourishes and pearl bling.
I also added a bit of lace and some ribbon and a few flowers from different collections.
Even the title has been in the stash for a while - from Dusty Attic - and I used Nuvo Drops.

Off to get some sleep to be ready for a long scrapping day tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy 20th Birthday

I forgot I had these 2 random pictures from my daughter's 20th birthday party!

I used up some Fancy Pants birthday papers, candle stickers and a really cool banner I found at Hobby Lobby a while ago.

I am using this page for the Tic Tac Toe challenge from Scrap With Stacy - Scrappy Friends challenge:

I went straight across the middle:

Stickers
Two photos
Stars

Staying at the Boardwalk

Good morning!  I'm waiting for the rest of my vacation pictures to come in - next week!

In the meantime, I am working on the memorabilia from our trip that I always make sure to add to my albums.  We started at Disney's Boardwalk Villas this time.  A big beautiful resort, right on the water.

Here is the map, little notes and notices from around the room and a pic of the boardwalk itself.

These fun elements are all from the "Checking into the Boardwalk" digital kit from Kellybell Designs.
Printed and hand cut all this morning - (while fending off curious kittens!)

I used a few pop dots on some of the elements.

There are so many great pieces to this kit - I cannot wait to get the rest of the pictures of the room, the pool and the resort itself.

Dear Santa....

I'm hoping that i can catch up on all my Christmas pictures before I have another stack from this year's party!

I need to either use or purge a lot of Christmas stuff.
I used some scraps of papers, a few stickers, and some embroidery floss.
For this week's challenge at Lasting Memories, we were challenged to use 3's:

Floral patterned paper
Hearts
Washi tape.

I also used some buttons and my heart punch.
So happy to be using some things that have been buried for a while.

Sweet Tweets

This page is about this ADORABLE little bird that kept interrupting our meetings at work:

She kept appearing in the window of our conference room and would actually bat her wings on the window to get our attention!
And it worked...lol
We could not focus on anything but her.
She would fly away and we would just keep watching for her to appear again.
She definitely kept us entertained for quite a while

Hogwarts Castle

I decided to mix things up and work on a few pictures from Harry Potter World in Universal Studios.

This is a hybrid page using a digital kit from Kellybell  Designs:

I printed and fussy cut the images and then added some twine and enamel dots.

I love the elements to this collection and I will be using it over and over again.

Stop by and see what else is in the whole collection;

I'm starting to get my vacation pictures in and I am so excited to work with them!

Here are the kids getting ready to enter Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom:

I used a mix of papers from the stash, a handmade tag, embroidery floss, buttons, flair and textured ribbon.
All this after I saw this sketch from Rochelle Spears for the Scrappy Friends challenge this month:

Happy Holidays

Still working away while everyone sleeps...

I chose to work with this family photo for the new challenge at Challenge YOUrself:

I used a large doily as my background and then added a few Mickey head paint chips,
wooden stars, sticky brads, washi tape and a bow.

The Mickey and Minnie came from a little Christmas kit.
They were originally stamps, but once they stopped working, I snapped off the stamp part.

4th of July

 Good morning!  Happy Scrappy Sunday!

We moved most of the stuff out of storage and into the new garage, so I know the hubby will be busy for quite a while organizing, so I get to scrap!

Here is a page I did using the Tic Tac Toe board from Scrap with Stacy:

I used up some Doodlebug goodies.
I'm almost done with this collection.
Just a few scraps left.

I went right down the middle of the board:
washi
circles
epoxy stickers.

I added some embroidery floss to my little journal cards all while fighting with my kittens who insisted on helping.

Thanks for stopping by!!

And so it begins..

HI all!  We are back from another fun and amazing trip to Disney!  I have soooo many pictures to organize and start ordering.

First up are the fun pictures from the shuttle bus to the airport:

I used a super fun digital kit from Kellybell Designs - Getting There kit.
I printed everything out and while I was catching up on some tv shows I missed while we were away, I hand cut everything.

I love so many elements to this kit and I made sure to take lots of pictures of our travels.
Just getting around builds so much excitement!

Stop by and see what else is in this kit!

Almost Ready!

We are down to single digits for our Magical Trip!

Here is another trip planning page:

I love catching up on movies on Netflix while I fussy cut all these gorgeous images:

They all print so clear and easy lines to get a great cut.

My favorite part of these collections are the balloons!
I love adding embroidery floss to them for dimension and all balloons need a string!

Stop by Kellybells and see the entire collection

a REAL Countdown!

One of the best days ever is finally booking a long awaited trip to Disney!

I used the Where the Magic Happens collection from Kellybells.

I fussy cut all the elements and even printed out the patterned papers.

I used a "scrunching" method on some of the flowers to give them dimension.

For the other flowers and the balloons, I added pop dots, twine and some small shakers.

This collection is perfect for all of the castle pictures too!
