Happy Trails

I just bought this fun new collection from Simple Stories called Happy Trails.
It came at a great time as I just ordered pics from my daughter's time at summer camp.
Her and her best friends became Scouts this year.
The Boy Scouts of America had opened their doors to girls this past year.
Having watched their brothers from the sidelines doing all these fun things at summer camp, really got them excited about joining.
This is their first year and they cannot wait to go back this year!

This is for the challenge at Scrap the Girls "Lets' Be Adventurers".

I cannot wait to work on more of these fun pics of these two!
They are in for lots more fun adventures!

HUZZAH!!

This time has definitely given me a chance to work on some pictures that have been sitting in the box for a very long time.

I totally forgot I had this collection from Echo Park called Once Upon a Time.
This sketch from Sketch N Scrap reminded me of the banners and shields from Medieval Times.
I was able to use a LOT of the collection AND finally get some of these pictures scrapped!

Here is the original sketch:

I used some of the information from the event brochure.
I loved adding the metal utensils - which is kinda funny, because at this event, they do not provide utensils!  LOL!

Bride's Family

I am working so hard on getting this wedding album finished!
But honestly, I have to keep taking breaks.  I can only take so much purple at once...lol

I  started out with this month's sketch from the Studio Challenges:

I was also able to use up more scraps and some random bits and pieces.
The purple acrylic squares were just sitting around collecting dust.
I also added ribbons here and there.

It's a Super Day

I had this page sitting on my desk for a while.  I just couldn't figure out what else could be done to it.

I started out with this sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

The torn corrugated paper had me pulling out more scraps.
Then I kinda went off the rails after that...lol.

I kept adding more torn corrugated.
It swat for a few days because I wanted to add "webs" but just couldn't figure it out.
I split up some jute and tacked it down with glue dots.
It still looked incomplete, so I added a few buttons.
Still not sure if I like it, but I'm calling it done!

Look at me!

Spring is my favorite time to go to the zoo.  The peacocks are very happy to show themselves off during mating season.

We usually go as a huge group.  My "scavenger hunt" is the first person to find the peacock that is showing off his feathers, gets a dollar.

I used a DCWV mat stack for my bits and pieces.
I also added a few feathers and flowers.

Here is the original sketch from Sketches in Thyme that got me started:

Junior Prom

This page was a labor of love.  I couldn't get it together and figure out what I wanted to do.

I had to sort thru scraps of paper for a long time to find just the right ones.
Most of them are from DCWV.
The flower are all from 49 and Market.
The title piece is from Creative Embellishments.
I used liquid pearls after I inked it white.

Here is the inspiration board from Creative Embellishments that we had to work from this month:

The added twist was to use metal.
I used a metal rimmed tag and a metal heart clip.

My supply list also came from Lasting Memories.
The word we were given to work with was CROCUS.
We had to use supplies that began with each letter of the word.
My supply list is:

R - ribbon
O - one photo
C - circle
U - "u" in Junior  (I know, it's a stretch..lol)
S - stickles

Wonderful YOU

It's been slow week for me.  I lost my mojo for a bit.  I was up to 8-9- pages a day.  Now getting one page done is a struggle.

Here is a page I did this week:

I used a challenge supply list from Lasting Memories.
We had to use supplies that began with each letter of the word TULIP:

T - two photos
U - unique flowers
L - lace
I - ink
P - patterned papers.

Of to find my mojo...

Easter picture

I have been purging my stash of pictures during this time.  I tend to print waaaay too many and over the years, I have decided that some of them are just not scrappable.

I was inspired to do this page from this month's challenge at Use Your Stuff.
I bashed my stash with this one.
I have had these stickers forever!!
I don't know why I put off scrapping this picture - or any other Easter pictures.
But after finally using these stickers, I realized that I need to order more Easter supplies.

Annoyed

Yes, I am annoyed that I cannot get out to shop, work and just go for a walk.

But that is nothing compared to this little guy when he was annoyed with my camera in his face all the time...lol

I came across this picture while I was trying to figure out what to do for this month's challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

So many different emojis to choose form - this picture was begging to be scrapped!

Dino - RAWR

I love seeing these dinosaurs at the zoo.  They are so life like and the kids have a blast with the speakers and the sounds they make.

I used more of the chipboard rocks from Creative Embellishments and a lot of scraps.
The dinosaur stickers are a set from Jolee's Boutique.

I took my inspiration from this month's challenge from Scrap the Boys.
That little dinosaur jumped right out at me.

Bouquet and Garter Toss

Good morning!!

I seem to struggle with 2 page layouts so much.  It feels like it takes HOURS to get them done.
But I really like working on them due to knocking out a bunch of pictures at once.

I was wondering how I was going to scrap these fun pictures without doing multiple pages.
I added tons of bling - I bought a huge box when we were planning the wedding.
The ribbon is sheer which I love how it looks against the patterned paper.

Here is the sketch I used from Stick it Down:

Our Wedding Party

I'm starting to see nothing but purple now...

I guess that's a good thing.  It means I'm knocking out a lot of wedding pages:

I had fun with this one.  I love mixing up all the different flowers I have in the stash.
The hardest part was matching up the paper colors.
This flower cluster came together for the Focus on Flowers challenge from Challenge Up Your Life.

I did this page using sketch #415 from Sketches in Thyme:

Off to stare at more purple paper!

Sisters

This is probably my most favorite picture of my two girls!

When the photographer said to give each other "a look"- this is what they came up with...lol!!

I grabbed lots of random stuff from the stash.
Keep in mind, I threw together anything I thought I could use for the wedding album  and put it all into a basket.
This is supposed to save me tons of time searching for goodies.

Here is a new sketch from Let's Get Sketchy that I worked with:
I had to flip it around to work with my pictures.

Mr. & Mrs.

Getting back to working on this wedding album...

I used some very old Anna Griffin papers.
The title is a sticker piece I found at Michaels.
The lock and key are from Jolee's.
The flowers are from Little Birdie - found these at Tuesday Morning.

Here is the sketch that was my starting point:

This was a new sketch from Sketch N Scrap # 198.

Live, Laugh and Love

I made myself a goal for this month - to REALLY try and finish up my daughter's wedding album!

I used this great multi photo sketch from Rochelle this time:

Lots of scraps - I've been saving all of the wedding scraps in one place.
It's a huge help - but a lot of stuff!

The bling title was found at Michaels some time ago.
And the purple flowers have been hiding in the stash.
I had recently organized all of my flowers and found these.

Chasing Dreams

I am so close to being done with Track pictures!  It's a shame that this year has been cancelled.  No idea what I"m going to do with all of the leftover stash.

For this page, I used a cut file from Paper Issues - the shooting star.
I don't have a machine, so I fussy cut the whole image.
Then it was back with 2 different gold patterned papers.
the outside of the star was filled in with gold Stickles.
I also added some gold and orange bling scattered around the background.
The patterned paper is from Scrapbook.com.
I added a strip of gold washi tape down the side too.

Here is the challenge I used for this page from Stacy for the Scrapping with Friends challenge:

I went straight across the top of the board - Cut File, Gold and Bling.

Here is my countdown:

4 - different flowers
3 - pictures
2 - different sets of leaves

I'm loving all my new flowers!  And there are more coming in this week!  YAY!!
