My Own Batmobile

Hello again!

Knocking out a few more pages before the festivities begin!

Here is my take on the Superhero challenge from Scrap the Boys:

I finally pulled out the stack of pics from my little guy's 5th birthday party ...he's 12 now...lol.

Without challenges like this, I probably would not work on pics like this until he is college!

I added some Batman stickers, chipboard alphas, fibers and a button.
The background was solid gray and I swiped a paint dauber across so it wasn't so...solid...lol.

I guess I should start waking everyone up now.

Father's Speech

Happy Sunday morning!
It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm looking forward to getting pages done and being able to take pictures of them all with natural sunlight.  They really make the pages pop.

Here is this morning's page:

Lots of random ribbons and some pearls.
The tags I found in the party section at Joann's.  They just happen to be the perfect colors.

I chose to use the left side of the "Choose your side" challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

Off to enjoy this sunny morning!

To Us..

Okay, so I'm not getting any laundry done...but I'm getting pages done!  so it's still a productive day!

Here is a multi photo page:

I used Misting Spray on the background.  This beautiful ribbon I found at Michael's.  I used a circle stencil and some black ink under the ribbon.  I slipped some flowers underneath the photos and added some black glitter swirl chipboard.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketches in Thyme #398:

Family means love

Good morning!   It's a cold day here today and it will be another long one doing laundry and other chores....all while slipping in a page here and there.

Here is what started off my day:

Sticking to getting the wedding pictures done, I chose an outdoor picture.
The challenge this month from Lemon Craft was to use a "purple" theme.

I had these gorgeous papers from Ciao Bella to work with.
I fussy cut some of the flowers and used pop dots to bring out some dimension.
The color purple was a subtle add with the purple flowers.

The sketch that got me started was this fun one from My Creative Sketchbook.

Hoping to get lots done today!

With this ring...

Last one for tonight.  This will be #8 for the day.  Which is awesome considering I was still able to get lots of house cleaning done too!

I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #396:

I chose to use some bling as the circle instead of my usual go-to which would have been a doily.

I love this glitter swirl ribbon I just recently bought from Joanns!  So pretty!

Off to get some sleep.  I will have a couple of hours tomorrow to work on more before the fam gets back from camp.

Party Cruise

So I'm going thru my blog and I see this challenge from Scrap the Girls - The Hangover.
I'm not a big drinker but I feel like when I do get the opportunity, I kinda make up for lost time...lol.

The word "hangover" just reminded me of the last one I had.  We went on a party cruise with my husbands co-workers.  After dinner, there was a LOT of dancing and a LOT of wine.  I had a FANTASTIC time that night!!  The next day and a half...not so much...

What a great night with a great group of friends!
This doesn't not happen often enough!
This is perfect for the "friends" challenge from Challenge Yourself:

That's me in the green dress.
I'm so glad there are no pictures of me the next morning!

Wedding stuff

I think the "random" pictures are the hardest to work with.  I want to include all the aspects of the wedding but don't want to overwhelm them with embellishments.

On a good note, I love multi photo sketches where I can knock out a few of these pictures at once.

Here is the sketch that inspired me from Sketch N Scrap #189:

Sand Ceremony

I love that I was able to find so many different doilies thanks to the Martha Stewart collection at Joann's and Michael's.

Most of the papers are from the Silver Leaf collection by DCWV.

Apple Picking Fun

Happy Friday!!
I am lucky enough to have the house to myself this weekend!  Everyone went camping and won't be home until Sunday!
So in between loads of laundry (yuck), I will be knocking out some pages.

Here is the sketch sketch from Scrap Our Stash for November:

I chose to use "apples" as my fruit:

I didn't realize how many apple designed papers I had in my stash.  I guess now is a good time to start using them.
I fussy cut the apple cluster from a page by Creative Imaginations.
I slipped in little pieces of jute for texture.
Hope you like it!

WonderFall

Now I'm excited to be finishing off Fall and Thanksgiving pics !!  Apparently, I have a hard time committing to one subject lately...

This page was inspired by this moldboard from Scrapping with Stacy:

I just bought a few of these decorated circle die cuts because they are perfect for Fall pages.
The leaves are from Michael's - fall sale clearance.
The pumpkins, sunflowers and scarecrow are foam accents also from Michael's.
I used some scraps from an Imaginisce collection from a long time ago.

Now I'm really motivated and hope to complete at least one more page before bed!

My Silver Lining

I played along with the challenge from Challenge Up Your Life today.

The challenge was to use Black, White and 1 color.  This is perfect to sneak in another wedding page.   My daughter said I needed more black on my pages...(insert eye roll).

I used the purple from the wedding to use as my accent color with the black and white.

I used the Silver Leaf stack from DCWV. I saw this online and had to race over to Joann's to pick it up right away!  Sometimes these new stacks sell out immediately.
I will definitely be using a lot of this stack for wedding pages.

This is the sketch from DCWV I used.
I think this was supposed to be a card sketch, but I can adapt...lol.

Thanksgiving break

Hello again!

I have been so productive and getting so many wedding pages done, but decided to take a break to work on other things before I get totally burnt out.

Of course, there are so many ideas for Thanksgiving now.  And once I gathered up all my goodies for this holiday, I decided that working on previous years celebration pics would be a good idea.

Here is my page using a sketch I found on Pinterest:

The mix of papers are all older.  Some were leftovers from kits.
My title is from Creative Embellishments.  I painted it white to start with and then colored it in with markers.  I dabbed a little bit of bronze ink over it all, but it wasn't showing very well.
The pumpkin is a wooden piece I found at Michael's quite a while ago.
I also used markers and bronze ink on this.
The turkey is from a sticker set from Recollections.
The leaves and buttons are all from the stash.

This is for the November challenge from Creative Embellishments.

Here is the moodboard:

The added twist was to add something wood.
I was so glad I found the pumpkin!

Friends at the wedding

I don't normally do 2 page layouts but what a way to knock out a lot of pictures!

I did this page using the 2 page sketch from Stick it Down:

I hope my daughter likes it!

First Dance

Last page for the night...

I'm running out of ideas for purple!  If anyone can suggest a purple paper collection I would appreciate it!

Here is the sketch I followed from Rochelle Spears:

Now I MUST work on laundry!

First Look

In between chores, I'm still getting pages done...

Here is a 2 photo page using a sketch from Sketch N Scrap #188:

I inked some doilies and added a bit of bling.

Bouquet toss

Good Sunday morning!

I managed to find all of the flowers I saved to add to the scrapbook!  I am so excited!!  It's a great feeling to know that I can add the exact flowers that were used in the wedding!

And here is a page with some pictures of the bride tossing some away....lol!!

I have some scraps of ribbon from the wedding also.
I added a bit of bling and ink to the background.

Here is the sketch I used from Let's Get Sketchy:
