I "heart" school

Good morning!  It feels good to have a WHOLE DAY OF SCRAPPING to myself!!  This month has been sooo busy!

I started off today by scrapping some school pictures.  My daughter is going back to her first year of college after a quick visit home this weekend.

I couldn't get a good pic.  I don't want to complain that it's too sunny out...but...it sure makes taking nice pics a bit difficult.

I chose this pic for the challenge from Lasting Memories - Special Events - Back to School.

I"m working on putting together clusters using stickers and flowers.  Sometimes it works, sometimes I want to start all over...lol.

More baseball.

It helps that my son REALLY enjoys this sport!  And he plays many different positions, so I can get pics of many different poses and stances.

Here are a couple of pitching poses:

I was inspired by the 2nd challenge of the month from Scrap Our Stash:

My patterned paper was used to make the larger circles.
I also added some ink to the edges of the circles, photos and the background paper.

Adventures outside

Sneaking in a quick page before I crash on the couch.

A bit of texture on this one.
Patterned papers, corrugated, twine and some chipboard stickers.

I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #434 for my inspiration:

Turtle Time

We love to go for walks and see all the wildlife!
We always find someone (something) that we would love to take home.

I pulled out some scrap of textured papers - fun reptile-ish texture, handmade paper and some corrugated.

I used this fun sketch from The Studio Challenges.

Remember

While on a short trip to New Orleans,  I saw a few things that marked the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.

There were quite a few things around town.
This was one that really caught my eye.

I used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme #433.
I used a scrap circle I found in the stash from some handmade papers.

Picture Perfect

This has been one crazy, insanely busy week!!  I've been trying to get some work done, and it's proving to be so difficult!

Here is my page for the sketch challenge at Let's Get Sketchy:

I"m having a hard time taking pics of gold again.
The background paper has gold dots and my title is all gold.

Here is the original sketch:

Remember

During our trip to New Orleans, we were able to see a few memorials for the Hurricane Katrina natural disaster.

We are planning a trip back in 2021 to learn more about the disaster.
It was a really sad time, but it puts things in perspective.
I feel learning about these disasters builds empathy and helps others come up with more ways to prevent them from happening again, or to offer better and faster relief for those affected.

I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #433.

Carpe Diem

My days have been so darn busy lately and I haven't shopped in so long.  Which means I have been "forced" to use what I own.

I pulled out the drawer of scraps and after digging through them for about an hour, found some pieces that I could use.

I also used some random flowers and titles stickers.

Here is sketch #207 from Sketch N Scrap that inspired me:

Stick it Down sketches

Well,  it's Monday!  I made it through the day without any major incidents.  Despite a HUGE storm coming through.

Here are some pages I finished up last night:

These pages were all made with the DCWV stack called Blush.

I used this month's sketches by Stick it Down:

Stop and Smell the Roses

Winding down the day....Felt really productive!

Here is another prom page I did using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme:
All of these papers are from DCWV.  I outlined the whole page with Liquid Pearls.  The flowers are a mix from 49 and Market and My Little Birdie. Here is the sketch # 431 from Sketches in Thyme:

Eat. Sleep. Baseball.

Hello!!!  While I'm working on prom photos, I'm sneaking in some baseball pages, so I don't get burnt out on one subject.

Going through the baseball stash, I managed to add some brads, chipboard, stickers, a tag and some ribbon.  I really need to spend more time digging before I finish a page.

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap # 206 to get started:

HAPPY

Good morning!!!  I am so happy to be scrapping again!!  It's been so unbelievably busy around work and home.  By the time I get a minute to myself, it's bed time.

I ordered a stack of pictures from our prom photo shoot.  i managed to go through all my goodies and pull out everything I plan on using for these photos.  Not surprising, I have way too much....if that's really a thing.

Here is one of the pages from last night:
I started out with this sketch from Rochelle:
And for the 2nd part of the Scrappy friends challenge, I used this month's Tic Tac Toe board from Stacy:

I went across the middle of the board - chipboard (stickers), Hearts (patterned paper and brads) and a large doily ( I need more in different sizes...lol).

The papers are from DCWV blush collection and the chipboard stickers are from Bo Bunny.

Off to work on more before the mojo disappears!
