Back to the beach

I decided today I was not going to work on anything.   I have tons of laundry to do.  I dropped the kids off at home and took a drive all by myself to Archiver's and Joann's.  I was hoping that A's would have the new Splash Dance line from Imaginisce....but nooooo...why would they do that??  I only have a really nice gift card burning a hole in my pocket specifically for that line!  So I settled on green Glimmer Mist, adhesive and some other stuff I didn't need.
As soon as I got home, I jumped online to Generations Crafting and ordered Splash Dance!  So there!  I feel great knowing it will be here soon!
And...I was so energized after online shopping, I dove into a beach page.  The sketch is #110 for Creative Scrappers.  I think it's the last one for the month so I wanted to get a jump on it and ended up finishing it.
Solid cardstock for the background and the centerpiece.  I used Tombow markers to draw the dark brown outline on the centerpiece.  Then I sprayed the heck out of it with Aqua Glimmer Mist.
The wavy piece was cut from a sheet from the We R Memory Keepers White Out line.
The title stickers are from the winter set from Bo Bunny...lol
The chipboard swirls and flowers are from K& Company.
The photo mat was a piece that my co-worker and I had made while we were goofing off at work one day.  I had it laying around and it worked perfectly with this page.
AND...it also qualifies for the challenge at Practical Scrappers!
Not bad for someone who wrote off scrapping for the night....

Scrapping therapy

I was so happy when my work day ended today!  GEEZZ!!!  I wish the corporate people would figure out what they are doing!  We had an incredibly busy weekend, so I had stacks of paperwork on my desk this morning.  Then we had a departmental meeting which lasted more than an hour.  Things are so crazy busy, I didn't have time to check my email, blog or anything!  lol..that's just not right.
The kids were so wired up on the way home, I didn't think I was going to survive the ride.  And of course, there many other minor mishaps that drove me out of my mind, but I'm glad to finally be home
I ran across a site called Creative Genealogy.  I spent some time checking out the site and it's filled with great inspiration.  I ran across the sketch challenge and decided to sit down and get to work.  If anything can make a bad day turn around, it's playing with my scrap goodies.
I tried to use up some scraps of paper, but of course, the colors weren't cooperating, so I had to dive into the full sheets.  I had some awesome monochromatic sheets from WorldWin Cardstock.
The flowers were from my stash.  They were in an unmarked package, so no clue there.  The yellow center flowers were from the Dollar Spot at Joann's.
The title was a score from my quick trip to Michael's last night.  They were having a great sale on lots of Mary Engelbreit goodies.  So I bought quite a few titles and LOTS of bling.

So now I feel better.  I feel accomplished.  I didn't give in to my bad day and go straight to bed.

NOW...it's time for bed.  Have a great night!

Captain Mickey

I think I am going to make it a goal to work on nothing but our cruise album.  I really want to finish all the pages so I know how many albums to buy so I can start putting it all together.  I love taking the pics and LOVE working on Disney pages.  Our first cruise ended up being over 250 pages and took up 7 albums.  I already have shelf space cleared out for the 2nd cruise, but I know it's going to be much much less.
Most of these papers are scraps.
The letters are from Basic Grey
miscellaneous buttons
another wooden accent from Michael's
and a cute little Mickey brad I just picked up last week

It looks like the rain is clearing up so may end up heading out after all....

The Scrappiest Sketch #69

A while ago I was chosen to host a House Party featuring Disney Cruise Line.  Part of the package sent to me was a packet of this really cool Disney Cruise Scrapbook Paper.  They sent me 25 sheets of it!  I only have one other friend that scraps, so I have no idea what to do with all this paper.  Any ideas??
This was the first time I have used a sheet.  The dotted paper is from Lasting Impressions.  Our lss had all of this brand paper on clearance.  I walked away with about 30 sheets!  Many different colors and just a few different styles.  I think I spent about $2 on the whole stack.  So expect to see lots of it in the near future.
The life preserver and the little anchor are from Michael's.  Again on clearance.  :)
The red Mickey head is a paint chip from Home Depot.
And Mickey Mouse himself was saved from the Bon Voyage decoration package I had ordered for our stateroom.

This storm is turning out be a real doozy!  I'm hoping the power holds on!

Catching up

I have no idea what I was thinking!  I kept putting off challenges thinking I had plenty of time before the end of June.  I honestly didn't realize that the end is only 3 days away!  So now it's crunch time if I want to play along with a few challenges.
My goal today is to finish up a few pages for The Scrappiest June Sketch Challenge.
First up is sketch #70:
Solid cardstock for the background
The center piece is patterned paper from Reminisce - Cocktails and Dreams
The pink photo mats were from scraps from Lasting Impressions.
Prima flowers - love the sparkle on these!
The pineapple embellie is from Michaels.  It was a pre-painted wooden piece that I thought was so cool!  I bought it at the end of last summer for about 4 cents!
Thickers fabric letters for the title that I colored with Tombow markers and tried to ink up a bit with gold to make them sparkle.  I had originally sprayed them with Glimmer Mist but it didn't show up so well.
And there are some miscellaneous ribbons added also
This layout qualifies for The Scrappiest -  sketch #70
Practical Scrappers - flower challenge
Frosted Designs - color challenge

So now the sky is very dark, the thunder is rolling, the raining is coming down in buckets.  I think our plans for the day are going to be cancelled.  Therefore, I don't feel so bad about putting off all these challenges.  Looks like I'll have allll day to work on them.  :(

Good Sunday Morning!

I"m off to a relatively good start today.  I woke up feeling great and had a bunch of great sketches to work with today.
The first of the day is from Stuck on U Sketches.  I'm not really fond of 2 page sketches, but after searching through all my pictures I came up with these.  This is going to be yet another page for our vacation album.
I used lots of bits and pieces I had sitting around my corner.
Prima Flowers
Bo Bunny Chunky Charms
Marcella by K chipboard flowers
K & Company pearl brads
Wild Life chipboard titles
Scenic Route patterned papers

And the flowers also qualifies this layout for the Practical Scrappers challenge...wohoo!!!

Time to wake everyone up and get moving!  Another busy day today.  But I'll be back to work on more sketches.
Have a great day!

Hanging with Pluto

I am so happy that I found that missing envelope of Disney pictures!  I'm still kicking myself that I didn't even realize they were missing.
Here is a page for Practical Scrappers.  I used the June Sketch Challenge and it qualifies for the flower challenge too.
OLD, old, old Pluto stickers from Sandy Lion are now gone from the Disney stash.
I have no idea where this paper is from, but it was in my holder and looked really cool for the pictures.  I grabbed more scraps from the scrap box for the accent pieces.
The tag is from a stack of garage sale tags I bought from Office Depot.  These things really come in handy!
And I remembered that I had Pluto fastenator staples!!  WOOHOO!
The chipboard swirl is Chunky Charms from Bo Bunny.  Love these too!  I have them in every color...lol.
Flowers and buttons are from the stash.

My question is...if I keep using TONS of old stuff....why is it that I still have no room for anything!!??

TFL!!

Back to the Beach

We had an awesome day out with the kids today.  But, it was so hot out there!  I started this page before we left and I'm glad I had it to work on.  The pictures of us on vacation, hanging out on the beach really helped me feel better about the heat.
The hubby is outside trying to get the pool up and running again, so I get to stay inside and play.
I used quite a few scraps for the background paper.  Most of the stickers are from Cloud 9.  And I used a few journal spots from K&Company for embellies under some of the stickers.
I'm hoping to get more pages done tonight...unless the pool is officially opened!  Then you'll know where to find me!

Sketches in Thyme..#3

I am so glad I started this one last night.  We have a really busy day today and I wanted to get at least one page done.  Sometimes getting up at the crack of dawn on the weekend is worth it...lol.

The background paper has been around for quite a while....it was buried under stacks of new stuff.  Maybe it was from a DCWV Stack...when they first came out!
Still going through tons of miscellaneous ribbons.
The leaves were from the clearance aisle at Michael's.
The stickers are from Bo Bunny.

I have about 30 minute before I have to wake up the crew and get ready to go.  You think I can start something else??

Have a great day!!!

A Princess Post

I needed a Disney fix today.  Actually, for the challenge over at Let's Scrap this week, these were the only pics I could find that came close to the size needed for the sketch.  Which isn't a bad thing...considering these were hidden away in a folder and I totally forgot I even had them!
That's what happens when you take hundreds of picture at Disney.  They end up in frames everywhere, in files, folders, desktop frames....just everywhere.
So I guess I can be grateful that this cool sketch came along.  I also found about a dozen more pics to work with too...lol.
The background papers are from a Disney kit from Hot Off the Press.
Text paper is from EK Success.
The tags, Big Buddy Brads and the little brads...even the ribbon came from the Scrap in a Flash kit from Hot Off the Press.
I bought this stuff a while ago and it's been stashed away in the Disney Scrap Stuff Drawer.
Again, I am so glad I am using this stuff up!   Now I don't feel guilty at all about buying new stuff.
I have a lot planned with the kids this weekend.  Some how I need to sneak in a shopping trip....sshhh...don't tell!
Have a great weekend!

Is it still Spring??

I finally received all my spring photos!!  And we are having some big time storms around here lately.
So last night I started working on a sketch.  I decided on the pictures and then found these really pretty flowers from Imaginisce.  They were white and I used my Tombow markers on them to try to get them to match the flowers in the photo.  I colored one flower and then the power went out!
I was determined to finish the page tonight...and then the storms starting rolling in again.  But luckily, the power stayed strong and I was able to work.
The stem for the flowers is a vine from Prima.
I am just loving the Old World Stack from DCWV!  I swear everything in it just goes with everything so perfectly!
I added some miscellaneous ribbon and scraps for the top of the page.  And of course, some Thickers letter stickers.
I really love the way the flowers turned out.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the tornadoes stay away for the rest of the night!

TFL!

Trying something new...

Through a friend,  I discovered a site called Sketchy Thursdays.  I will admit that I am a sketch - a-holic.  I swear I have no mindset at all to come up with a layout all by myself...lol
This sketch looked like fun and since my new pictures were delivered today, I thought I would give it a shot and play along.
Once I decided on the pictures,  I actually remembered right away that I had these cute as heck Bo Bunny Winter Stickers.
The patterned paper was found in my scrap stash.  I was amazed on how well they matched the stickers.  And I LOVE that I used up more scraps!
The pearl swirls are from Basic Grey.  The added snowflake bling was from the dollar section at Joann's.

Sketch Inspiration #129

I love finding things for the kids to do all the time.  One of my favorites was Reading Week that was hosted by Target.  The whole event revolved around Dr. Suess' birthday.  The kids had a blast reading, playing games, posing with hats, coloring and munching on some snacks.

I had a blast taking tons of cute pictures.  And the main reason for that...because I found Dr. Suess stickers a million years ago and finally had a reason to use them!!
The problem now is that I used most of them and still have a few pictures that I want to play with.  Oh Darn!  Not another shopping trip!!

I found tons of rub on stitching in the clearance section at Michael's, so I used lots of that on all the papers.  A few of the edges were inked in black.  And of course...more buttons (add those to the shopping list too!).

I think this layout is going to top off my scrappy weekend.  I managed to get a lot more done than I expected.  And I'm waiting for my picture order to come in the mail.  Lots of new subjects to scrap!  Graduation, Spring, Water Park....I can't wait to play!!!

Bo Bunny Goodness

I have to admit I love everything about the Bo Bunny collections.  I "collect" as much as I can, even if I don't have a use for it now...I always come back to it eventually.

So Bo Bunny released a new sketch challenge and loved it!  Multi pics...another favorite challenge of mine.  Once I found the pictures I wanted to use, I had to sift through the Bo Bunny goodies to find one that worked with them.

My FAVORITE collection lately has been Kitchen Spice.  I have used it for so many different themes.  It's versatility just amazes me.  So here I have pics from our vacation and the first thing that pops out at me is ....Kitchen Spice...again.  The colors had just the right tropical - beachy feel to me.

I used pop dots on the flowers and the title to give it a little dimension.  And these clear buttons are just perfect!

This layout has been a double edged sword for me.
So glad to have more pics done from the vacation stack.
But sadly, I realized...I need more Kitchen Spice!

Have a great day!!

Creatively Scrapping...

I love Sundays when there are absolutely no plans at all!  I've been up since 6am enjoying the beautiful morning, listening to the birds outside.  I can't remember the last time I have been this relaxed.
Creative Scrappers started the day out with Sketch #109.  I have been sitting on this picture of my daughter for a long time and decided today was the day to put it on a page.
The background paper is from the K&Company EcoModern stack.  I love this stack for its subtle colors.  I actually bought it for the masculinity of the whole stack, but I have gone back to it time and time again for many other pages.  It's working for everything and I am glad I'm getting a lot of use out of it.
The title letters are again from my ancient stash of alpha stickers - EK Success Inspirables.
All of the ribbons were from a prize pack I won from Prima.  YUMMY stuff!
And lastly, the flower stickers are from Cloud 9.

Have a great Father's Day!

I miss my Mouse..

I really wish we planned another Disney vacation this year.  We are in the planning stages for a quick weekend trip to Ohio.  I'm dying to go to the Safari Adventure and Cedar Point!  We also met some awesome people on our last cruise and we are hoping to meet up with them while we are there.
In the meantime, I have to live with working on the pics from our last trip.  Every picture makes me laugh, giggle or just smile.
Disney is my happy drug!  There is nothing that makes me happier than the Happiest Place on Earth.
Okay...I'm sure you get it...I'm a Disney fan.
So it's not surprising that I own EVERY piece from the Creative Imaginations Magic Collection.  And I have been a little reluctant to use it, because once it's gone...it's gone.
So with a little twisting of my own arm, I pulled out this really awesome overlay...finally.  I don't know why I have been afraid to use it.  Maybe I didn't think I would do it justice.  I love how it turned out and I gave myself a pat on the back for using up more of the old stash.
If this keeps up, I'm going to have to do some heavy duty restocking.
TFL!!

More Practical Scrappers

Another great sketch from Practical Scrappers!!  I just love the simplicity of this one.  Even though I prefer multi photo sketches, I still have quite a few larger photos from our vacation to work with.
I used lots of goodies from Basic Grey's Granola collection.  All of these papers were so amazingly perfect for the photo.
The photo mat was a light beige until I inked it to death with a darker blue.  The flowers and buttons were all found somewhere in my scrap corner.
I can't believe how much I have managed to get done this morning!!  What a great start to the weekend!

A starring role...

That's what these really chipboard pieces have this page.  I bought them in the clearance section at Michael's last year.  I LOVE that clearance aisle!
I topped them off with star confetti to add a little color.  The big star was actually a decoration I had laying on the kitchen table, waiting to be hung up for our 4th of July celebration.  It was the perfect size and the perfect color for the 8 x 8 album I've been working on.
I was going to use it as a template, but it was so sparkly and pretty, I just put it right on the page.
I had to go digging around in the button box, but I knew I would eventually find my star buttons.  I got lucky and found the big red sparkly one too!
TFL!

Dinosaurs!!!

I have sooo many pics from soooo many outing with the kids.  I really love it when I sketch comes along that calls for lots of pictures.
This week's sketch from Stuck on U Sketches was right up my alley.
I've had these pics from the Dinosaur exhibit at the zoo sitting around...becoming extinct...lol.
Finding the right size was a challenge, but since I took bazillions, I knew I could work it out.
The text paper is from Karen Foster.  I thought it was the cutest stuff ever!
The green scaly paper is something I picked up from an Expo a few years ago....cuz it was cool looking...and feeling!
The fiber paper behind the title was something that was hiding in my stash too.
I love being able to use up this ancient stuff!
A few miscellaneous stickers and some metal rimmed tags and there you have it.
Dinosaurs brought back to life!
TFL!

More Fireworks!

I love "trying" to get good pics of fireworks. It takes quite a few tries, but I manage to find something that I like. The papers are from DCWV Metallic Stack and Colorbok. The title is a laser cut from Scrap Your Trip. I inked up the doilies and stamped them with pewter ink. Then I went a little nuts with the Stickles all over the page. Now the wait is on for it all to dry......

Sketches in Thyme...#2

I saw this sketch and couldn't wait to get started on it!  Even the color scheme popped right into my head.  I had the pictures in my hand in about 3 minutes.  Then, of course, it was the dreaded task of sorting through all my papers looking for just the right ones.
Luckily, I found this really fantastic looking background paper from Basic Grey.  The inner piece is from DCWV Old World Paper Stack.
Next was going through miles of ribbon to find just the right color and design....which of course, didn't happen.  I had no clue what to do next.  I just started opening drawers and looking around.  That's when I found the Prima bling!  Man, I LOVE this stuff!  I cut up one of the swirls to make smaller embellies for the leaves.  To add a little more to the middle of the leaves, I wrapped up some pewter wire and adhered it to the centers.
BTW...the leaves were in the clearance section at Michael's last fall...and boy, did I stock up!
The title is from a sticker set from Bo Bunny.  I wanted the actual title to stand out a little more so I inked up a piece of chipboard and added a little leftover bling.

Another night, another layout....life is good!

Need a vacation?? I DO!!!

It's getting pretty warm around here.   Today is was close to 90 degrees and tomorrow is going to be hotter!  This weather just makes me want to skip work and head to the beach!
But since work is crazy lately, taking time off right now is NOT a good thing.  So I have to deal with it by reliving our vacation from last year.  Which I am NOT complaining about.  We had an amazing time on our Disney cruise and I am dying to go back again.  But for now....I am having fun scrapping all these pictures.  I'm kinda glad I still have lots to work with.  It should get me through the summertime blues.  Not that I have them....yet....
We are hoping to take a small vacation this year, but I'm still not sure if that's going to happen or not.  Keeping everything crossed.
Anyway...this layout was inspired by Creative Scrappers - sketch #107.  I had to flip the sketch to make it work for me.  Other than the background paper and the title, everything I used was found in the scrap box.  So glad I am making a dent in that thing!  Whatever is leftover at the beginning of the new school year, is getting donated to the art class.

L.O.A.D.

Layout A Day!!!  I have been trying to stick to this rule lately and it's getting really difficult...especially when my daughter is hovering over me, talking nonstop and really annoying me!
I actually started this one last night.  All I had to do was add the final bling.
This is for Creative Scrappers Sketch Challenge #108.
TFL!!

Sneaking in another one....

quick and easy, but cute!...if I may say so myself.  Of course, it may have to do with those two cute kids.....or monkeys.
This is another page from our 8 x 8 Bon Voyage Party scrapbook.
Of course, I used Disney stickers....they've only been around for a few years.
The flowers are from Prima and just happened to be the perfect color.
I also misted the background paper a little bit with Copper and Electric Blue.
The border paper is a strip I had cut from a sheet from W R Memory keepers White Out Collection.
The sketch is #106 from Creative Scrappers.
That's all the energy I have for tonight....Goodnight!

Rain rain, go away!!!....

before the power goes out!!!  It is coming down in buckets right now and I am hoping to get this posted before we lose power.
I started this page last night and was determined to get it off my desk tonight.  I've been thinking about what to do to finish it up all day.  I started searching...again...and came across these really fuzzy fibers.  Well, I thought it was a good idea, but now I have little tiny bits of these fibers everywhere.  At least they look pretty added to last night's glitter escapade!
I'm still digging through my old stuff and I am really happy to finally get a chance to use it all.
Now I have lots of room for new stuff!...well...not quite yet but...it's getting there.
The background paper is from the Wild Life collection and all the cute little monkey stickers are from DCWV Safari Kids collection.  I love the added pinks!
Okay...I really have to clean off my desk now....
Have a good night!

Practically Scrapping...

Don't you hate it when you see an awesome sketch...and you draw a complete blank on what to do with it??
I knew I wanted to use these pictures....they came out first.  Then after about an hour, I decided on the background paper.  I refused to cut up more 12 x 12 patterned paper, so I went through the box of scraps about 4 times before I settled on the white strip with circles and the darker blue strip with circles.
I remembered right away that I had these really colorful swirls from Bo Bunny...but of course, there went another hour searching for them!
Then it was time to dig out the Toy Story stickers....which were playing hide and seek with me.  While I was searching, I found my Toy Story gift card.  Ya know, the ones at the Disney Store....sitting there on the counter....looking really cool....
If you know the store manager, she let's you take a few inactive cards to use as embellishments.
Then I had to find the right sized chipboard tags to put the title on, to make it pop a little more.  I covered them in cardstock, which I inked a few different colors.
Luckily, I found the Toy Story stickers and made them fit....which took a little maneuvering of the whole picture.
So here is my page....using a great sketch from Practical Scrappers.
And it only took me about 6 hours of searching....

All That Glitters....

It's amazing what you can find when you start digging through stacks of stickers!  I had this really cute set of Winter stickers from Bo Bunny that were perfect for these snow pictures of my little guy.
This title was also perfect for this week's challenge over at Frosted Designs and Practical Scrappers!
Still determined to use up my old stuff before I spend tons of money on new goodies, I went searching for the rest of this layout.
The background paper is from DCWV Old World Stack.  On top of that is Heidi Grace's Snowflake Park paper with flocked snowflakes.  I have the whole collection and I REALLY need to start using it!
Some of the stickers are mounted on metal rimmed tags just to give it a little something something.
Then there are the snowflakes...I found these in the clearance section at Michael's a couple of years ago.  I HAD to have them,  and I always forgot about them!  They are so glittery and pretty!  I dropped a gem in the middle of each one just to add to the sparkle a little.
The smaller snowflakes were gems I found in the dollar section at Joann's.
Those clearance and dollar sections are DANGEROUS!  Now I know why my stash is out of control!
TFL!
Happy Monday!

Girls just want to have fun~

That is the song this week from Scrap it with a Song.  It finally motivated me enough to do some more work on our Girl's Night Out album.
We rented a limo, had dinner at an amazing Italian Restaurant in Downtown Chicago, and then went to see Wicked.  It was an awesome evening!
My best friends and our daughters!  All dressed up and hitting the town!
Wow...I wish we could do that again soon!
These papers are from my All My Memories stash.  All of the titles are rubons.
I thought that little limo sticker from Jolee's was just too cool!!!  So glad I got to use it!
TFL!!

Frosted Designs??

Why haven't I heard of this site before??  I found it yesterday and had a great time checking out everything.  I was so excited to find yet another challenge site!  Challenges are the only way to keep me motivated and creative.  Left on my own, I would probably watch more TV!  Which wouldn't be a bad thing if there was ever anything good on....
I sat through The Hangover last night.  It came highly recommended from many people.  It was ...okay.  I just hate movies where the swearing takes over most of the dialog.  Seriously...how many times do I have to hear the "F" word in a 3 minute scene?  It's not funny...move on to something else.
Anyway...while I was watching this movie and trying not to listen...lol, I worked on a page from our last trip to Great America.
This week's challenge on Frosted Designs was to use glitter.  I had these really fun pages from our ride on the carousel.
All the papers were from 3 Bugs in a Rug and I just LOVE these Big Brads!  I had no idea for sure what I was going to do with them....just knew that I had to have them!  Another something something gone from the stash!
I cut the patterned paper on the design and used glitter glue along the edges to make it sparkle like the carousel.
It's another miserable rainy day here,  so getting decent pics is really being a pain....
Off to see what other challenges I can tackle today!
Have a great rest of the weekend!

My first time....

...participating in a sketch with My Sketch World!  I love multi photo sketches and this one was really fun to play with.
I used up lots of old scraps of papers....and lots of buttons.
The letters were from the Dollar Spot at Target last year.
The felties I found at Michael's.  I thought they were really bulky and was hesitant to use them, but since I bought them anyway...I may as well do something with them!
Gotta love my circle punch from Creative Memories.  It's amazing how many times I have pulled that thing out lately.
TFL!!

Birds of a feather...

I loved working on this sketch!  The sketch was from http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/.
I don't know exactly drew me in with this one, but the minute I saw it,  I knew I was using these pictures.
I just found this really fun paper from The Paper Studio Beach line.  DCWV Flower Power die cut paper was perfect!  These colors are so much fun!
I used a few paper flowers that I was able to color with my new Tombow markers.  YUMMY colors!  I also used some chipboard leaves from The Wild Life collection.  I saw a post on using the Tombow markers on chipboard and was skeptical, but I think they turned out great.
Oh  yeah....I used the same markers on the Thickers letters too!  I am definitely getting my money's worth with those babies!

A few more challenges and then maybe I can clean up my corner a little...maybe...

June Stuck?! Sketch

For the first sketch of the month, I decided to do some more work on my 8x8 Disney album.  I am so close to be done (with 1 of 3!!).
I tried to "pop" up the stickers on pop dots, but they were being a little difficult...and you can hardly tell from the picture!  Oh well....
Love the way this turned out...

TFL!!!

Sketches in Thyme...

http://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/2010/05/welcome-to-sketches-in-thyme.html

A NEW blog with tons of inspiration for scrapping!  I love working with sketches.  I feel it forces me to be more creative.  I really have a hard time figuring out a layout on my own.  Multi-photo sketches are the best!
And for the first challenge from this blog....multi-photos!!  A great sketch, great inspiration, great blog!
The DT has awesome ideas.  I loved checking out everything they created. Make sure you check them out!

Here is my take on the first sketch....
