Bundled Up

Good morning!  I'm trying to use up some last minute stash before I head out to check out some last minute deals at a few stores.

I used up some newer stash from Echo Park, and big sheet of mulberry paper and some chipboard snowflakes.

I'm using this for the December Challenge from Scrap the Boys:

I know it's not really a Christmas page, but it's a winter page and this pic of my little guy is just too cute!

Merry and Bright

Well, we made it through the Christmas holidays!  Now it's time to focus on the new year and make some reachable goals.  I'm heading out shopping tomorrow to pick up some planner accessories.

Here is the page I made today:

I used up some scraps from the Christmas stash.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketches in Thyme #402:

I have enough pictures for about 5 more Christmas pages.
Once I am done, I will be purging the stash of the older stuff that most likely won't get used.

My next goal is to get some school pages done for my daughter before her high school graduation.  I have until May!
I think I can do it!

December Snow

These pictures are from last year.  I have mixed feelings about this year.   Right now, it is 60 degrees outside.  It's such a gorgeous day!  But I do miss the white Christmas.  I do not miss driving in the snow or the bitter cold!  But just a little bit would be nice I guess.  It certainly would have made it really feel like Christmas.

We have a nature center nearby and the evergreen trees covered in snow are always just beautiful to look at.

I followed the color palette and sketch from White with 1:

It was really hard to match this kind of green.  But I think the neutral color pictures worked with anything.
The snowflake felt strip has been around for quite a while.  I'm actually surprised that the adhesive still worked!
I did a little bit of finger painting with white on my green tree.
I'm not really thrilled about how it turned out.

Off to work on a few more pages before the next party!

stickers
ribbon
 tags

Christmas on the Farm

Good morning!   Today is our big shopping day!  Working on a few quick pages before we head out.

We have a local farm here where the kids love to go and hang out for Christmas fun.

I love how this all came together.  So fun!

I was inspired by this months moodboard from Scrapping with Stacy:

Hoping to get one more page done....wish me luck!

Merry and Bright

There are quite a few houses in our town and nearby towns that have AMAZING Christmas displays.
This is one house that wins the grand prize every year.
We always make the special trek out there every year to see what is new in his display.  It's become a scavenger hunt for the kids, and it's so awesome looking at everything.  It's totally overwhelming to see this and of course my pictures don't do it justice.

Here is lots more of some older stuff that was in the stash.  I'm so happy to finally have a use for it all.  I'm really excited that by next Christmas, Ill be able to shop for all new stuff!

Here is the sketch from Studio Challenges that got me motivated:

Christmas Cheer

We always have a Disney themed Christmas at our house.
It's not overdone, but definitely noticeable.
So of course, my layouts must have a Disney element somewhere.
It's usually a hidden Mickey.

Here I used lots of really old papers from the stash:

The Mickey and Minnie piece was fussy cut from a Christmas card I received a few years ago.

Here is sketch #400 from Sketches in Thyme that got me started:

Celebrate the Season

Good morning!!

I'm so glad to have a few hours to scrap today.  I would love to be able to finish scrapping all of the Christmas pics that I already have printed.
Note that I probably have 3-4 years NOT printed yet...

Here is my first page:

i fussy cut some of the holly on this paper and tucked my picture behind it a bit.
The doilies were found at the party store.
The ornament is a wood piece I found at Michael's.

We "heart' Santa

Good morning!!
I'm hoping today will be better.  I did not manage to get my tree up yesterday.  The Great Procrastinator - the hubby - failed to do his part.
Fingers crossed today is the day!!

Here is a page I finished up late last night.

I used some 6x6 papers and some Stickles.

The sketch that got me started is from Let's Get Sketchy:

So today we have a party to go to and then a basketball game.  I'm hoping to knock out a couple of pages before we get our day started.  Not sure if the tree is going up today but like I said, ..fingers crossed!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Well, I managed to get more decorating done today.  I'm still waiting for the hubby to put up the tree....

I snuck in some time to get another page done:

I love that I was able to use up some really old Imaginisce stash.
It feels really good when I can use it.  For some reason, it makes me feel even more accomplished...lol

I was inspired by this sketch from Rochelle Spears:

Instead of the banner, I used some Christmas lights stickers from Jolee's.

I guess I have to go check on my tree now..wish me luck!

Holly Jolly Christmas

Good morning!  We had a light dusting of snow today - perfect for putting up the tree mood!

Today I am sharing a page I did for Scrap the Girls.  The challenge was to use non-traditional colors.
This is kinda hard for me, but I think I pulled it off....

I stuck with mostly kraft and red and thru in a bit of black (hidden Mickeys).
These are pics of my niece and I messing around with my Mickey decorations....lol.
The title was a dollar find from Michael's.  The larger present is from Paper House - I added the bow from a different sticker set.

I used this sketch from Scrap Our Stash:

Off to get my decorations ready to put up!

Golden Christmas

I love these color combos!  So happy to have the perfect picture to go with them!

This is the December challenge from Creative Embellishments.

I used lots of gold ink on the CE pieces - the presents and the trees.
I used both gold and silver and added some flowers.
I also used scraps of ribbon and textured papers.
My title was from the stash.  Its been around for a while, so happy to finally be able to use it!

Non-traditional colors, but still so pretty for the holidays!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Merry Christmas with Mickey

Everyone is at a meeting so I'm sneaking in some blog updates...

Here is my take on the sketch from Sketch N Scrap #190:

I had to move my photos around to make them fit...lol.

My Own Batmobile

Hello again!

Knocking out a few more pages before the festivities begin!

Here is my take on the Superhero challenge from Scrap the Boys:

I finally pulled out the stack of pics from my little guy's 5th birthday party ...he's 12 now...lol.

Without challenges like this, I probably would not work on pics like this until he is college!

I added some Batman stickers, chipboard alphas, fibers and a button.
The background was solid gray and I swiped a paint dauber across so it wasn't so...solid...lol.

I guess I should start waking everyone up now.

Father's Speech

Happy Sunday morning!
It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm looking forward to getting pages done and being able to take pictures of them all with natural sunlight.  They really make the pages pop.

Here is this morning's page:

Lots of random ribbons and some pearls.
The tags I found in the party section at Joann's.  They just happen to be the perfect colors.

I chose to use the left side of the "Choose your side" challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

Off to enjoy this sunny morning!

To Us..

Okay, so I'm not getting any laundry done...but I'm getting pages done!  so it's still a productive day!

Here is a multi photo page:

I used Misting Spray on the background.  This beautiful ribbon I found at Michael's.  I used a circle stencil and some black ink under the ribbon.  I slipped some flowers underneath the photos and added some black glitter swirl chipboard.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketches in Thyme #398:

Family means love

Good morning!   It's a cold day here today and it will be another long one doing laundry and other chores....all while slipping in a page here and there.

Here is what started off my day:

Sticking to getting the wedding pictures done, I chose an outdoor picture.
The challenge this month from Lemon Craft was to use a "purple" theme.

I had these gorgeous papers from Ciao Bella to work with.
I fussy cut some of the flowers and used pop dots to bring out some dimension.
The color purple was a subtle add with the purple flowers.

The sketch that got me started was this fun one from My Creative Sketchbook.

Hoping to get lots done today!

With this ring...

Last one for tonight.  This will be #8 for the day.  Which is awesome considering I was still able to get lots of house cleaning done too!

I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #396:

I chose to use some bling as the circle instead of my usual go-to which would have been a doily.

I love this glitter swirl ribbon I just recently bought from Joanns!  So pretty!

Off to get some sleep.  I will have a couple of hours tomorrow to work on more before the fam gets back from camp.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Party Cruise

So I'm going thru my blog and I see this challenge from Scrap the Girls - The Hangover.
I'm not a big drinker but I feel like when I do get the opportunity, I kinda make up for lost time...lol.

The word "hangover" just reminded me of the last one I had.  We went on a party cruise with my husbands co-workers.  After dinner, there was a LOT of dancing and a LOT of wine.  I had a FANTASTIC time that night!!  The next day and a half...not so much...

What a great night with a great group of friends!
This doesn't not happen often enough!
This is perfect for the "friends" challenge from Challenge Yourself:

That's me in the green dress.
I'm so glad there are no pictures of me the next morning!
