Walt's Dream

This is one our favorite places to go when in Hollywood Studios.
I love seeing all the models of the all the parks.

I added some sticker elements of the typewriter and coffee mug - maybe this is what Walt did when he was imagineering...

I used sketch #330 from Sketches in Thyme:

It's REALLY hot out there today!

I may have to sit at my desk allllll day....darn...lol

Main Street

I know I always cry walking down Main Street when we get to the Magic Kingdom!
The nostalgic feeling of all of the buildings, the smiles from the Cast members greeting us, and the lampposts....what a great place to be!

Sorry for the shadows on my page.
But it's ridiculously hot outside and I didnt want to stay out there...lol.

I did this page for the sketch challenge at Sketch N Scrap:

Flamingos

Good Saturday morning!!  It's the last day of the month - it's going to feel like 115 degrees today - we have a baseball playoff game tonight - and I'm going to finish up this month's challenges!

First off,  I have a colorful page for the sketch challenge at Sketch N Scrap:

I used so many miscellaneous pieces from the stash - I don't know where to start.
I mixed and matched different papers flowers with sticker flowers.
Added some silk leaves.
A few scraps of paper strips.
Buttons and a doily.
I am so happy with the result!

More Memories

This was fun to work with.
I used sketch #329 from Sketches in Thyme.
LOTS of scraps were dragged out.
I added some ricrac ribbon.
The banner and title are chipboard pieces that were painted white and then colored with markers.
And of course, I added some tiny Mickey heads.

Here is the original sketch:

Riding the Trolley

For every trip we take to Disney, we always go in with a Bucket List.  Some of the things that are on our list have been there for YEARS!

This last trip, we were lucky enough to FINALLY knock one of those things off the list.
We were standing on Main Street, having just entered the park.  The Main Street trolley had pulled up almost right in front of us.  A few people exited the trolley and the conductor waved to everyone and invited us all to hop on!  I have always wondered how one got to be one of the lucky ones to ride the trolley right down Main Street.  And here we were finally one of the lucky people!!

I used some fun Main Street sticker elements on this page.
I love the lampposts!

My inspiration for this page came from Case #256 from CSI Challenges.
The camper inspired me to stick to a transportation theme.

Here is how I solved the case:

Evidence:
Solid white background
Stripes - ribbon
Dots - patterned paper
a Tag
Twine / ribbon - on the tag
Musical elements
"Other" animal - Mickey Mouse...lol

Testimony:
I added a portion of our Bucket List to the tag

The Scheme:
Pineapple yellow paper
Turquoise paper
Bright white paper
Red paper
Black paper

Fine 50's Dining

Other than the sites and the rides, the 3rd best thing to do on our Disney vacation is of course, eat!!

There are so many wonderful places to eat,  we always try to do something different on every trip.
This was our 1st time at the Prime Time 50's cafe.  Old time, family fun!  We had burgers, salads and homemade meatloaf and mashed potatoes.  YUM!!!

This page popped into my head as soon as I saw the challenge from CSI  Case File Challenges.

This is how I solved Case #255:

Evidence:
white background - I stenciled a checkerboard pattern (Lasting Memories)
scallops - punched border strips
strips - patterned paper pieces
dots - patterned paper pieces
circles - record albums
decorative border - punched border strips

Testimony:
My title - the finest 50's dining!

The Scheme:
teal  papers
pale turquoise papers
bright white papers
pinkish purple papers
dark violet - photo mats

Majestic

Pictures of the castle at every angle...

I used this sketch from Sketchabilities - which is back!
They had taken a break for a while and thankfully they have returned with another great sketch!

I used some beautiful papers from Ciao Bella.
The flowers were all fussy cut from the same patterned papers.

Fresh Summer Days

The ambience around Disney is so awesome!  You always have to slow down and take in ALL the sights....

These topiaries are everywhere - you just have to look for them.
I wish i could have something like this in the yard!

The sketch I used is #328 from Sketches in Thyme.
The papers I used are from Simple Stories.
This is an older kit and I was glad to use up just a little bit more of it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Castle Cuties

Again - more pictures of the castle!
I think we spend more time in front of the castle then we do anywhere else in the park!

For this page - I used a gold foil text patterned paper underneath my circle cut paper.
Lots of gold washi tape with punched gold flowers.
I added a doily underneath the photo and added Stickles to the pattern.
Here and there, you will notice either white Mickey buttons or Mickey's punched from more gold paper.

The sketch I used is from Sketches in Thyme #327:

It's BB8!!

It's always fun when you get to meet a new character at Disney!
This was the first time meeting BB8!
He was so cute and he talks too!

I used an orange mist on my background - a challenge from Lasting Memories.
The circles are stickers leftover from Reminisce.
The arrows and BB8 were cutouts from a kit from Kellybells.

Here is the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy that I used:

In "Stitches"

We always have the best time every time we meet Stitch!

Here he is at the Polynesian Resort at O'Hana.
He is so funny!  Jason always cracks up because Stitch seems to gravitate to him and make him laugh!

Here is the sketch I used from My Creative Scrapbook:

The flowers were made using a large punch.  Then I sprayed them with a light yellow mist and added yellow flowers to the center.  I wanted them to mimic the lei that Stitch was wearing.

Selfie!!

I fell in love with this fun title piece!  The rainbow colors were so vibrant!
I played with the challenge at Scrapping Clearly.  Here is the color inspiration for this month:

I chose this picture of me and my daughter.
She is 16 years old and right now and the rate she is maturing, I consider her one of my best friends.

The challenge this month from Scrap the Girls is to scrap a photo of your best friend.
We had so much fun on this trip!
We not only look alike - we think alike!

These papers are from Joann's - the flowers from Michael's.
I used different inks on the corners of my page too.

Oh Beverly....

I love that my kids LOVE the Beverly soda at Club Cool in Epcot...lol.
They never get tired of it.
I wonder if they think they will eventually acquire a taste for it, or if it will change over the years.

These are some of their best Beverly faces:

I used a sketch from Let's Scrap:

This time I stuck with the right side of the sketch.
The Coca Cola image was downloaded from the internet and printed out.

Jasmine

I was not able to get many pictures of the Princesses this time around.
Really disappointing, considering how much I spent stocking up on princess scrap goodies...lol.

We were in Morocco browsing when Jasmine came running around the corner.
I just waved and snapped a few pics.

Lots of old stuff on this page.
The tag, embellishments on the tag, the Jasmine Sticker, and the ribbon and fibers had to be dusted off before I used them...lol.
I can't believe I remembered I had them, but so glad I cleared them out of the stash.

Here is the sketch I used from Let's Get Sketchy:

Mickey Countdown Treats

Every Disney trip needs a special countdown!
We have done a countdown chain, advent calendar with gifts in every drawer, the good old chalkboard countdown...just to name a few.
For our last trip, I decided to do 30 days of Mickey treats.  It started off really good, but then I was rapidly running out of ideas, so I reverted to adding a snack to the suitcase.
Brownies, cookies, waffles, pancakes, ...the usually stuff.  I also experimented with pizza, sausage muffins (pictured here)..I tried to get creative with arranging foods in Mickey head shapes.  Talk about a stretch!  Brussels sprouts, peas, cut up hot dogs, potatoes, ….I tried them all!

So here is a multi pic layout I made using a 2 page sketch from Stick it Down:

I used a small Mickey head punch to make my popcorn.

This was so fun!  I cant wait till the next trip!

Magical Moments with Stick it Down

Good morning!!

I am so excited to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for Stick it Down challenge blog this month!!

They have great sketch challenges each month - 1 page sketches and 2 page sketches.  I usually play along with both of them and get lots of pictures on my pages.

For this month, I worked with the 1 page sketch which included lots of hexagons.  I dusted off my Creative Memories punch and had a blast with this one.

Here is what I came up with using lots of scraps too:

I also added some fun buttons that added dimension to the page.
I LOVE how this one turned out and I have been anxiously waiting to post it!

Thank you to Stick it Down for the opportunity to be a Guest Designer!
Make sure you stop by their blog to see the new sketches!

Day at Epcot

For my page for the challenge at White with 1 - I chose to work with more Epcot - Spaceship Earth.
The Zodiac stack from DCWV was perfect!
This is probably my 2nd most favorite stack ever!
I also added some Disney paper scraps

The giant Mickey head cutout is from Kellybells.
The Epcot title circle is also from Kellybells.
This was emphasized with a giant white button from the stash.
I also added some ribbons and trims
The smaller Mickey heads were punched out and then I added some Mickey shaped metal clips and a few more buttons.

The color challenge for this month was "Space Frontier" gray.
And we were also given the option to try out an older sketch from Page Maps.

Bucket List

Good morning!

I managed to remember to take pictures of all of our vacation planning efforts.
I always have to have a journal, bucket list, daily agenda and scavenger hunt lists.

I used the left side of the 2 page sketch from Let's Scrap:

This is Where Magic Happens

One can NEVER have too many pictures of the entrance to Disney World!

I played along with the sketch challenge from Studio Challenges:

Again, I dug through the older stash.
These fun die cut pieces worked perfectly for the picture.
I also added some strips of ribbon and trim.
The acrylic Mickey head pieces I actually found at a Hallmark store years ago.

Daisy Duck

It's not often we get to see Daisy Duck on our Disney trips.
She is always so cute!!

For this page I used the June Jumpstart sketch from The Scraproom Blog:

I managed to use up some really old stuff too!
The Daisy sticker has been sitting around for a few years.
I used some heart shaped clips to "clip" my pictures to the rows of ribbon.
2 different ribbons / trim that were taking up some space.
The larger scalloped circle is OLD...and from My Mind's Eye.
And I remember when doilies first became a thing and I had to have them in every size!

This was perfect for a "clean out the stash" day!

Torch Ceremony

We were lucky enough to actually be at our resort when they presented the nightly torch lighting ceremony.  it was so cool!!

I used sketch #154 from Sketch N Scrap.
The flowers and the totem poles are all hand cut from digital images from Kellybells.
Here is the original sketch:

Off with his head!!

I cannot believe it is already June!
This year is just flying by!
I am so excited that Summer is getting closer and the pool will be open soon.

I am all ready to start with the June challenges.  I need to keep motivated and finish up tons of projects and lots of scrapbooks.

I will be continuing on with our 2017 Disney trip.

Here is another Queen of Hearts page:

Still using up some scraps - to keep my space clean - yeah, right!
The inspiration for this page came from Rochelle Spears and her awesome sketch:

For the additional paper challenge, we were to add chevron papers.
I added the black chevron papers and then some fun colored papers.

I also added some fibers to my tag.  I have tons of these that I need to remember to incorporate into some of my pages.
