Maid of the Mist

Here is the first of MANY pages I plan on doing for our trip on the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls.

I absolutely LOVE this paper by Heidi Swapp!
The blue were perfect for my pictures and I feel like it forced me to look outside the box and add the pink.
These flowers from Recollections were just the right touch.

I used this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

You Are Here

Happy Saturday!!  What a beautiful day outside...and I prefer to sit here and binge watch Dynasty on Netflix while I work on vacation pics.

This page was put together with a mix of bits and pieces from the scrap box.
I added some pop dots for a little bit of dimension.

I played Tic Tac Toe with The Studio Challenges:

I used Epherema, Triangles and Enamel Dots:

I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #422:

It took me a while to come up with something that worked with a large title.
While searching for scraps, I found this one and the rest came together pretty quickly.

Timeless Beauty

Happy that this week is over and I can play all weekend!

Here is how I started off...

I used this mood board from Creative Embellishments for my start:

The colors, the clocks and the waterfall reminded me that I had LOTS of pictures of Niagara Falls.
These are the first two I scrapped.
I feel confident that I am off to a great start!

Families are Forever

Another great family photo from a wedding years ago.

This page was a lot of fun!
There have been many pages using this triangle technique.
I thought for sure I would be cutting triangles and trying to line them up for days.
I was directed to a youtube video that offered instruction.
It was sooo easy!
It literally took me less than 10 minutes to put this together!
The hardest part was trying to find 2 sided patterned paper that I wanted to use.

I won Tic Tac Toe by going diagonally:
Chipboard
enamel Dots
Flowers

Memories

Sometimes it's hard to scrap older pictures.
This is from my sister in law's wedding a few years ago.
This is one of the last times we were with my Mother in Law.

I used bits a pieces from the Girls and Denim collection.

Here is sketch #201 from Sketch N Scrap, celebrating their 8th birthday!

Stunning

I love using sketches for my pages!  It sure gives me a head start and a push for getting pages done.
This month, Sketch N Scrap is celebrating their 8th Birthday with lots of sketches!

Here is sketch # 200 for the kickoff celebration:

I am so close to wrapping up this wedding album!!

May Stick it Down

One thing about the sketches from Stick it Down - they certainly are different and challenging!

For this I used the one page sketch:

I tried a new drapery fold technique.
It was pretty easy, just a bit time consuming, but I think it was worth it.

Then I tried the 2 page sketch:

Knocked out a bunch of pictures from my sister's baby shower.
I even managed to include the Thank You card.

Here is the sketch:

Troop 668

My kids are also missing scout camp this year.  This really broke their hearts.  They always have a great time.

I used burlap for my circles - I thought it appropriate for camp photos.

Here is Rochelle's sketch this month:

A Day at the Zoo

I cannot wait until we can go to the zoo again!
I'm so glad I still have a lot of pictures to relive these events while we are staying safe at home.

I made this page using the Jumpstart sketch from Rochelle:

Congrats Graduate

My oldest daughter graduated from college in 2014 and I am just now finishing up her pages:

I used a page chipboard star and lots of random bits from the school stash.

Here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme #421:

I won across the bottom row:
circles
Handwritten Journaling
white and/r black title

Home For Easter

Unfortunately, we missed getting together for Easter this year, but I was able to play with last year's pictures.

I sure hope we can see family again soon!

Race Time 86

Good morning!

I am finally catching up on some random photos!  So close to finishing off this whole box!
This was from a 5K race we did years ago.

I hand drew my circle.
So glad I saved all of my race bibs too!
