Thankful

I found this picture of my whole family from one of our parties!  I was so excited!  This will be blown up and framed for my wall.

This was the perfect picture for the challenge at Challenge YOUrself.
They wanted  to know what you are thankful for!!  You can show us what you are thankful for any way you like, but please make sure that you include a photo with YOU on your page.

It's very rare these days for ME to be in the photo, but challenges like this make me think more about handing off the camera and making sure I'm in more pictures.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

SLIDE!!!

I'm still not done with this stack of baseball pictures from Cooperstown.  And in the meantime, pictures from this year's baseball season are stacking up.  It's never ending fun!

Challenge # 406 from Use Your Stuff was right up my alley - to use a Sports themed project.

Here I used a paint splatter technique on my background.  I then cut up some leftover scraps into random triangles.  Gotta use up those scraps somehow!
I love adding buttons to almost everything too.

These professionals really captured some amazing action shots!

Autumn

I wasn't ready to break into the new Fall collections I just bought, but this challenge from Challenge Up Your Life made it hard not to.

I used a mix of older papers, some die cuts from Simple Stories, and coffee mug and some paint to make my circles and leaves from the stash.

New York Yankee Legend

One of the highlights from our trip to  Cooperstown was a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame.  kMy son's baseball hero is Babe Ruth.  Seeing his uniform and the whole display dedicated to him was an amazing experience for my son.

I was inspired by the 2 page sketch from Stick it Down this month.
I was able to use many pieces from a 6x6 paper pad with some vintage images.
And I found some really old rub ons in the stash that I was able to use for my title.
It's really hard to find a letter set that has 5 "e's" in it!

Here is the original sketch:

Astros!

The Home of the Astros!  Graduation Day!  The school did what was necessary to have a graduation ceremony for our kids.  Banners and signs everywhere for photo ops...we took advantage of them all!

I was lucky enough to snag some of these custom scrapbook kits before the school closed for the year.

I flipped this sketch #438 from Sketches in Thyme for my inspiration:

Frog Fright

There were so many great memories from our trip to Cooperstown.  And a lot of them had nothing to do with baseball.

With 8 women, 2 teenage girls and 1 Dad all locked in a house for a week, there is bound to be a few funny times.

On this day, we had a fright with a visiting frog.  I don't think I laughed so hard at someone else's fear!

This page was put together when I saw this challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

I don't have many pictures that I can think of that adding a little animal would work.
These pictures came in handy!
And it was a great story to tell!

Campus Tour

It was really hard for my daughter to get started at college this year.  She was so excited about her selections, but Covid restricted everyone from actually touring the campuses and dorms.  We did not get to see the campus until the day we moved her in.

We had fun and made the best of it and she was not disappointed.  If anything, her excitement grew!

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap #209:

The Perfect Pitch

Getting down to the bottom of the stack of baseball pictures!

The professional photographers at this tournament took some AMAZING pictures!
I am so glad that I invested in them!

Here is sketch #208 from Sketch N Scrap that got me started:

SLIDE!

Another great sketch from Let's Get Sketchy!

I used a bit of white paint splatter on my kraft background.
These scraps have been in the bag for a while.  They had some cool patterns, so I couldn't bring myself to throw them away.  And you can never go wrong with buttons!

Here is the original sketch - I just flipped it to work with my pictures:

Never Lose Your Sparkle

I pulled out all the sparkle for this page!

Shiny papers from DCWV, shiny ribbons, Stickles, sequins...
I added Stickles to everything!!
This title card from DCWV was the perfect title for my page.

I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #435 - I just flipped it to work with my pictures.

This sparkly page certainly matches my daughters sparkling personality!

There's No Place Like Home

 Good morning!  Or afternoon...

What a beautiful day outside!  My windows are wide open, chores are done, and I get to sit here and scrap all day!

I still have TONS of baseball pics to work on.

This page was done for a recipe challenge from The Studio Challenges:
tag
stamp
3 patterned papers
punch
washi
puffy stickers.

We were challenged to use as many as we could.
The only one I did not use was the stamp.
Unfortunately, none of my stamps would have worked anywhere on this page.
But lots of scraps came in handy!

Thanks for stopping by!!

SCHOOL

I really miss the "normal" days of kids going back to school.  Taking pics of them at home working on assignments just isn't the same.

These pics are from a few years ago:

I pulled these pics out for the challenge from Scrap our Stash:

I used:
1 word title
2 photos
3 buttons

I love that I remember all of these wooden veneer pieces from Creative Embellishments too!!!

1st Day of School

Well, I played an order for another set of new pictures.  Which means I MUST keep working on the ones I have printed already.

These school pics are from years ago.

When I saw this Tic Tac Toe board from Scrapping with Stacy, "school" jumped right out at me.

I went down the left side and used Cork, Apple embellishments, and Notebook Paper.
I also used up quite a few stickers - including the title - that I have had sitting around forever!

Class of 2020

I was excited for the September challenges because of the Fall scrapbook stash I have.  Then I realized I have lots of grad pics to scrap - with the color orange.

I started out with this 1 page sketch from Stick it Down:

I used some scraps and a border punch.  I then took the border that I punched and used it as a stencil around my picture.

This color works great with this month's challenge from White with 1:

Spelling Bee Champs

I am determined to get more scrapping done this month and next, so that I can focus on more holiday projects this year!

Here is my first page for the month using a sketch from Rochelle Spears:

I used lots of scraps from the school pile and some fun metal tags with school embellishments on them.

Here is the original sketch by Rochelle:
