Think Happy & Be Happy

This month's kit from My Creative Scrapbook featured The Garden party collection by Maggie Holmes.
I LOVE these pinks and greens and then the pops of gold!
SOOO  pretty!!

Challenge #544 from Lasting Memories was to add flowers and at least one tag on your page.
I used some tags that were in the ephemera pack, added gold brags and some ribbons.
The circles were hand drawn and then outlined with Nuvo Drops and Stickles.
The flowers are from the same collection - puffy stickers!

I am so happy with how this turned out!

Good, green and gold

Okay, I am in love this the Garden Party collection by Maggie Holmes!
The greens, the pinks, the golds...so pretty!!

I have started to remember to make sure there are pictures of me in my books.
It still feels awkward taking selfies....lol.
My daughter has been helping.
We FaceTime and challenge each other.

I played with Challenge YOUrself this month with a couple of these pictures.
I love that these challenges remind you to keep YOU in the pictures and on the pages.

The challenge was to pick a letter and use that letter to create your page along with your title.
I chose "G".
It went very well with the greens, the golds and the "good" in my title.
I used a dabber and some pink paint to soften the green a bit.
And then I put more green on the page by adding a thin washi border.

Now it's time for "me" to have more coffee.

Bowling tournament

I love how amazing this guy is at bowling now!  It took a bit for him to find his groove, but he's doing awesome!

I mixed up a few things for this page.
I dug out some Big Brads and some flair that I had in the stash.
It's so hard to remember things I have already.
I was actually looking for something else ran I opened a drawer and found the Big Brads.
In many colors.
Hiding in a drawer.
Lonely and neglected.
Poor guys.
Oh well, they have a home now being on display.

I used sketch # 223 from Sketch N Scrap to get started.
Here is the original sketch:

What’s new pussycat?

I seem to be stuck on using a lot of yellows lately.

I put this together with a hodge podge of stuff from the stash.
I couldn't even begin to tell you what I used.
I just went through the scraps and found what colors worked for me.

I did, however, use a coral ink pad on a doily.
The paw prints were fussy cut from a free file from Paper Issues.

This title grabbed me while searching for some thing to use with this picture for the challenge at Studio Challenges - to use a song as your inspiration.

I swear, this page took me all night to do!
I'm usually quicker than that!

Amazing

My newest addiction is to any and all things 49 and Market!
The papers, the elements, the flowers, the rub ons...LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

The only thing on this page that is NOT 49 and Market is the adhesive I used...and the picture..lol

This photo was perfect for a one 4x4 photo challenge from Lasting Memories.

The pinks and greens idea came from inspiration at Challenge Up Your Life.

I am so in love with these goodies!

Date with Mom

This was so fun to do!  I didn't realize I had so much yellow in my stash!

I used washi tape and lots of scraps of patterned paper.  I love these daisy stickers!

They have been around in the drawer for soooo long.

I put this page together playing with this sketch from Rochelle Spears:

Now I really need to start dinner!

Congrats! Band Awards

Happy Sunday!!  I'm wrapping up some band pictures that have been around for a while.

Since there have been no band performances this year, I really miss these kids.

This page consists of a few sheets of 4 x 6 papers from a mat stack by DCWV.
I love all the gold!

I used a few music note stamps and a "congrats" stamp title.
This came together using this Tic Tac Toe board from Scrapping with Stacy:

I went down the right side:

Gold

I hope these kids get to play again soon!

More bowling strikes!

Funny how my son is so against me taking pictures of him bowling, but when he sees the pages, he LOVES them!   LOL!

I just found these bowling goodies from Moxxie at an online store.
I think it was almost a miracle as I know this collection is YEARS old.

I used this multi photo sketch from The Studio Challenges as my starting point:

A Purr-Fect Match

My daughter just loves hanging out at Petland and keeping all of the kitties company.
She's still trying to convince me to let her bring one home.

I used the Jumpstart sketch from The Scraproom to get started on this page.
I then followed challenge # 542 from Lasting Memories.
We were challenged to use an item for each letter in the word EASTER.
My items are:

E - enamel dots
A - alphas
S - strips of scraps
T - tape (washi)
E - ephemera
R - ribbon

I sure hope she keeps going to get more adorable pictures like this!

Wedding Plans

Just when I think I am done including everything I can think of into my daughter's wedding album, there is always something that pops up:

I had no idea that someone was taking all of these pics of the decorations and gift table.
This will be a nice surprise if I ever get this book done.

Here is the sketch from Sketch N Scrap # 222 I used for my inspiration:

Bad Boys

Happy Sunday!  I have a busy day ahead, so I wanted to post this before I head out.

This is for the monochromatic challenge offered up by Creative Embellishments.
I used up a package of chipboard hexagons that I painted blue.
I also added all kinds of goodies - washi tape, enamel dots, Nuvo Drops and die cut pieces on pop dots.

This collection from Cocoa Vanilla - Legendary- is one of my favorites for pics of my son.
So many pretty shades and designs of blues!

Wish Big

I love seeing all the fun bright colors of Spring and Summer!

Here is a fun mood board from Use Your Stuff this week:

I used these colors to make a Happy Birthday page:

Lots of fun stuff - enamel dots, Stickles, Nuvo Drops, ribbon...fun!

Toilet Paper Dresses

It's kinda funny when I look back on the game we played at my daughter's Bridal Shower a few years ago.

We gave each team a few rolls of toilet paper to create a wedding dress on each model.
The ladies were so creative and had so much fun!

Here is the sketch I used from Lasting Memories #541:
