One Little Word - Friendship

 Happy Hump Day!!

After we had FINALLY taken our first trip without kids, we came to the conclusion that we definitely needed to that more often!

We have been so busy with the kids for many years, it's time to take back OUR time and start enjoying time with friends again.

This year started off with the annual dinner party with a group of our favorite people.  We had an amazing time and I hope we don't have to wait until net year to get everyone together again.  

This year, our One Little Word is Friendship.

We promised that we will be spending more time our friends going on trips, going to dinner and having everyone over for Naked Neighbor Thursday pool parties...lol.  Okay, maybe not.

We have already had a fun night out and already have a few more planned.

The goal is to reach out to many of the friends that we have lost touch with over the years.  

I cannot wait for Summer to have people over for pool time and drinks. 

It's going to be way different having most of our weekends to ourselves.

Thankfully, our friends are still happy to see us!

My One Little Word was chosen for the challenge at Lasting Memories.

I used up lots of old items from my stash.

So happy to have new goals that I know we can reach this year!

All Star Athlete

 Good morning!  I managed to finish up all my chores this morning - time to spend this snowy day scrapping!

My son is very athletic and is involved in many different sports.

I knew this challenge from Lasting Memories  - the year in review-  was just what I needed to showcase all the teams he was on for his first year of high school.

I have sooo many more from his sophomore year.

I will never be caught up with his pics...lol

Philmont trip

 I would really love to finish up this album one day!

I decided to put together a title page using the new challenge from Lasting Memories:

I am going to use this as my title page for the album.

I added a page from the passport booklets they were given when they arrived.  I also had to add a few leaves just to give the page a little something extra.

1st trip - no kids!

 It's the start of a new week, and I am determined to stay on track and work on something every day.

This week's challenge was "the firsts".

We can interpret it anyway we needed and I thought of these pictures immediately!

I don't fetch!

 Good morning!!!

I was cruising through a gallery this morning and I saw a page using some older papers.   I was so excited that I was reminded that I had these collection in my stash.  I only had some scraps left but enough to get a page done.  Now I am down to just bits and pieces.  The debate is if I should keep them or finally get rid of them....

I started out with this sketch from Rochelle:

I had to switch things up a bit to work with my pictures as they were a little larger than I needed for the sketch.

I also used an older flower punch to make my flowers and dropped some buttons in the centers.

You are my Sunshine

 Good morning!  Finishing  up a quick page before I head off to my son's bowling competition.

I love this  collection called Flora by Carta Bella.

The softer colors are still so bright and pretty.

I played Tic Tac Toe with Stacy's challenge:

I used enamel dots, twine and a sheet of vellum. 

I added the vellum behind the tags to make them stand out a bit more.

Just a subtle touch.
