Summer Fun

Hello!!  It's finally really feeling like Summer around here!  It's hot, humid, muggy, sunny, hot and humid.

I know I said that twice, but it needed to be said - it's SO hot and humid!

In the spirit of a HOT Summer, Lasting Memories challenge this week is all about Summer Fun:

I used up more bits and pieces from Echo Park Pool Party collection.
I added some pieces of ribbon and added pop dots to some of the elements that I cut out of the patterned paper.

Off to soak up some more of the AC!!

Animal Kingdom Day

Sooo many great pictures from Disney Animal Kingdom Kiliminjaro Safari ride.

It's awesome when a fun challenge like this comes along.

The new challenge from The Studio Challenges is to use multiple photos:

I used 3 different photos from the trip, along with some small printed pictures from the BoBunny collection - Jungle Life.

Of course, I had to add a Mickey on the page too!

Love this view!

This week's title challenge from Lasting Memories is #557 - Love this View.

OF COURSE, the first thing I think of is Cinderella's Castle!!

Usually my color scheme for the castle is just blue and white, but the little red hearts on these patterned papers inspired me to add even more red.

I used a mix of ephemera from 3 different collections.
And I also added some sequins and rhinestone Mickey heads.

It's not often I break out the sequins. but I felt it would work well with the rhinestones.

And of course, the picture matches the title perfectly!

Life is Good..

..especially when it's a day spent at Disney!

This is my daughter and her husband having a wonderful day at Animal Kingdom.

This was another title challenge from Lasting Memories - # 556 - Life is Good.

These papers are from an older BoBunny Collection.
They have been sitting around just waiting for a page like this to come along.
My favorite part of this page are the hidden Mickey buttons.
Just a small touch to let you know it's always all about Disney.

Celebrate!

okay, I think this will be my last page for Christmas in July.  I am just not ready to delve into all that is Christmas just yet.

I bought these TOO CUTE cutting dies and colored them with lots and lots of liquid pearls.

My inspiration for the title came from Lasting Memories.
This month, we are offered up a new title to use on our pages.

I thought I had a gold title for this, but as usual, I can't find it when I need it.
I'm sure it will turn up eventually.

Holiday Vibes

 More Christmas in July pics:

I love this collection from Simple Stories - Say Cheese Christmas.
The only problem I have is that I will need much much more of it to get thru this stack of Christmas pictures!

This page was inspired by the new challenge at Challenge YOURself - to use shapes.
I dusted off my punches to make a bunch of circles and then added a border sticker.
Using up some of the solid scraps I have stashed.

Happy 4th fo July!!

What a wonderful, long, hot and humid weekend!
I"m so happy to have all this time to work on my daughter's Disney Honeymoon album:

Her favorite spot of all is the world Showcase in Epcot.
Here is Brittany and her husband Donny spending some time at the American Adventure spot.
Of course, I had to incorporate a Mickey in there somewhere.

My main inspiration was this sketch from Creative Embellishments this month:

I added some Creative Embellishments chipboard banner pieces after I inked them.
We were also challenged to add a stamped image to your page.
I realized at this point that I did not have any 4th of July stamps or even any stars!!
How is that possible???
I managed to add a small banner stamp and attached some micro star confetti.
And added another line to my shopping list.
