Let's Read with Dr. Seuss

Sometimes I run across a challenge that I just don't have the right pictures for....A color combo from Scrapping 4 Fun was one of them...

I did my best to adapt - even though I wish I had tropical pictures to work with!!

Here is the original inspirational picture:
I also did a little doodling with a Uniball pen to incorporate the "use a pen" challenge from Artastic

Cute Memories

This has got to be the biggest smile I have ever seen on my little guy's face!  This was when we were at a weekend getaway to a waterpark after he got hurt.  We decided to make him feel better by getting Everything including the Kitchen Sink ice cream sundae!

For this page I used sketch #308 from Creative Scrappers:

Awesome Vacation!!

Love that I was able to use LOTS of pictures on this page!

With the help of Rochelle's color challenge:

And a 2 page sketch from Let's Scrap:

I knocked out 9 pictures!  AND dusted off the old Coluzzle set to make my smaller circles.  And then I dragged a metal rimmed tag out of retirement.

Dinner Cruising

Special time with just me and the hubby.  Here are a few more pictures of our dinner cruise along Lake Michigan last year.

I pulled out some old brads that worked well with this color scheme.  I fussy cut all the wave borders.  2 of the 4 are on pop dots for dimension.  If you look closely, there are some water friends hidden within the waves.

I started with this mood board from Hiding in My Craft Room:

Bowling Fun!

And yet another sport that my little guy enjoys!  Bowling!

This page was inspired by a scrap lift challenge from The Studio Challenges.
This page by Sherri really jumped out at me (NOT just because it was taken in Disneyland..lol) but because my first thought was that I have LOTS of photo slide mounts in the stash!
I haven't even looked at them in forever!
Thank you for the inspiration Sherri!!!

Dirt don't Hurt

Gotta love having boys and girls.  I get to dabble in everything under the sun with scrapbooking topics.  Here we are the Demolition Derby:

I used some misting spray on the background to make it look "dirty"...lol.
I've had this title sticker from Bo Bunny for years!
So happy to finally have a page for it!

This is the sketch I used from Scrap the Boys:

I Love America

Sticking to this month's theme...

I used this month's challenge from Let's Get Sketchy.
The added black to this color scheme was a little different.  I chose to use a black background, but added some blue Stickles.

Here is the moodboard:
And here is the sketch:

Let's Play Soccer

I thought I would work on  a  few sports pages along with all of my 4th of July pages.  Here is my little guy and his first year of Soccer:

Funny thing...I used this sketch from Granddiva as my starting point.  When I cut the paper, you can see I cut it in the wrong direction....lol.
Here is the original sketch...in the original direction...lol

Splish Splash

Me again!
Back to Summer!  I found some pool pictures to work with this time.  I can't wait till all of the pool parties and all the Summer fun to follow!

Here is one from last year:

We were also given the option to use this sketch:

This was for the teal sequins color challenge at White with 1.
Not only did I use  the teal color and white - I also found teal sequins in the stash to add to my page.  Taking pictures of them is so difficult!  I either get a bad glare or they look black..oh well!

Exploring Summer

Hello again!!  Not that I want Fall to get here too quickly, but for the challenge at Scrap Our Stash, I pulled out some Fall-ish pictures.
Along with the sketch challenge, we had to use supplies that began with each letter of the word SUMMER.

Here is my page:

And here is the list of supplies I used:

S - stickers
U - Uniball pen
M - mats
M- My Mind's Eye papers
E - enamel dots
R - ribbon

And here is the sketch:

It's a Boy Thing

Here is page I made with bugs!!  lol!
I've had these bug rub ons for a very long time and was surprised that I could actually get them to work correctly.

I did this page for the "It's a Guy Thing" from Connie Can Crop.

That beetle or spider thing on the side creeps me out....just saying...

Pretty in Pink

Now that I managed to complete a few "boy" pages, I used the challenge from Cookin" Up Creations to do this page.
The challenge was to be inspired by the movie Pretty in Pink - and to add the word Pretty somewhere on your page, the color pink and the color gold.  I used a CM punch on some gold paper to add some hearts.

This sketch from Creative Scrappers was my placement inspiration:
