When I grow up

He's only 12 years old,  but my "little" guy still wants to be a baseball player when he grows up.
He totally loves this sport!  Spring can't get here fast enough!

This was for the challenge this month at Scrap the Boys:

One baseball picture done - 100's more to go!

Once Upon a time

Once Upon a Time...Mom and Dad used to get dressed up and go out too....
Oh so long ago....lol

This is an older picture from a family wedding.
I used lots of scraps to cut my squares.
The hearts and flowers are from Little Yellow Bicycle.
The swirls are I swiped from the wedding stash.

This was for the challenge from Challenge YOUrself.
Always remember to use a picture of YOU.
I remembered!!
And the main challenge was to use polka dots.

Speed

I found these message board pieces in the stash and thought it would be a great addition to a page.

+

I snipped the tiny tase off the back of each piece and used glue dots.
The circles are a set I bought from Creative Embellishments.
And that awesome patterned paper is from a scrapbook kit that our school sells.

Rain and Sunshine

Here is another challenge that had me stumped all month.

This is the challenge offered up by Scrap Our Stash:

Finding items that start with each letter of your name is not easy!

Here is my page:

And here are the items I used:

W - washi tape (just a little bit...lol)

E - enamel dots

N - note card

D - diagonal design

Y - yellows (washi, ink and marker)

This has been a challenging month all around!

Stacy's Tic Tac Toe challenge

Here we are = at the end of the month, and I finally figured out what to do for Stacy's Tic Tac Toe challenge:

This one had me stumped all month!
I just couldn't figure out how to get all three items matched up.
Here I put together wood (the small swirls from Momenta), Buttons (of course) and an edge punch.
WHEW!

AND I used some goodies that I just found at Tuesday Morning!

YAY!

Oh Hello There

Gotta love a teenager that thinks its funny to swipe your funny and fill it up with random selfies.
I always wonder how I end up with 100's of pictures on my phone.
I'm pretty religious when it comes to clearing my phone and getting my pics backed up on my computer.
At least she added me this time...lol.

I fussy cut the flowers on this paper so I could add pop dots behind them for dimension.
The black piece is chipboard from Creative Embellishments.
Just because I felt the page needed a little something different.
The gold title was from a card kit I found at Tuesday Morning.

Here is the inspiration board from Scrap the Girls that got me started.

Me & Mom

One of my favorite things is every time I go out with my daughter, everyone comments on how much we look alike.
Even Facebook tags each of us in our pictures.  Her friends always question why she tags me in every one of her posts...lol.

I loved making this page!
The borders are chipboard pieces I had in the stash.
The pinwheels and rosettes I found at Joann's.
I wish I could take credit for making them!

This was for the challenge at White with 1 this month:

That's a lot of pink, but like I said before - I like girlies pages!

Beauty

I have to admit, I love making girlie pages.  The colors, the flowers!!  They are my favorite!

This collection from Maja Designs called Denim & Girls.
The soft colors are gorgeous and the designs are so fun.
My favorite is the patterned paper with the tennis shoes.
This is so my daughter - girlie but...not.

I played with Rochelle's sketch this month:

Another "Friends" page

Sometimes, I just get stuck with coming up with new titles.  So yeah....they need to be used again and again...lol.

For this page I used scraps from the Denim & girls kit from Maja Designs.
The challenge from Scrap Our Stash was to use plaid.  I was so glad to see this plaid in the collection. I was stumped on what I was going to use for these pictures.
The added challenge was to use wood.
These wood swirls are from Momenta.
I painted them white along with the wood alphas I found at Tuesday Morning.
The flowers are a mix from 49 & Market and Prima.
I've had an addiction to buying new flowers all the time now....

Here is the challenge posted by Scrap Our Stash.

Good Friends

Good morning everyone!  Day 2 of our Shelter in Place order.
I am knocking out a lot of pages.  That's about the only good thing going on right now.

Here is a page I made using this month's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

I used some liquid pearls to make my own swirls on the background.  I also used liquid pearls on my chipboard title pieces.
And of course, I had to add buttons to my flowers...lol.

Stick it Down challenges

Stick it Down has some great sketches this month!

Here is what I came up with using their 1 and 2 page layout sketches:

I did a lot of fussy cutting on these flowers.
They were originally on black paper but I really wanted to use the blue to match her dress.
Glad I had a good show to watch / listen to while I worked!

Here is the original 1 page sketch:

Next I worked on the 2 page sketch.
I don't normally do 2 pagers but sometimes when you have a lot of pictures to work on, it makes more sense to do 1 layout.

So glad our school sells its own scrapbook supplies!
This kit really came in handy!

Here is the fun sketch:

Thank you Stick it Down for the inspiration!!

Sketch N Scrap fun!

I love using the sketches from Sketch N Scrap each month!  I never have a hard time with them and they always work well with my pictures and my scrapping style.

Here are a couple that I completed for this months challenges:

I'm glad I kept all the scrap from this project in one spot.  It sure made it easy to use them up!

This was for sketch # 196:

And to mix up some subjects, here are a few homecoming pictures:

Gotta love multi photo sketches!!

Here is the original sketch # 197:

Best Friends

Good morning!!

It really sucks that we are all being quarantined for the next two weeks.  It's going to be pretty difficult to get through this without losing my mind.

Thank God we have this craft to help us!!

Here is my page for Sketch #413 from Sketches in Thyme:

I used plenty of flowers from The Paper Studio on this one.
I also added the chipboard circle from Creative Embellishments.

Adorable

Back again with another page using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme #412:

These papers are from Maja Designs - Denim & Girls.
I LOVE this collection!!
And it matched her dress perfectly!

Talented

It kinda stinks when you think you are done with a subject, you clean everything up, put it all away...and THEN you realize you forgot to scrap one picture!!

GRRR!!!

Well, at least I started keeping all the bits and pieces together so I'm not spending all my time hunting it down again.

I used a circle punch on my gold scraps - which don't photograph very well.
I also added some gold buttons.
The middle strip across the bottom is gold too...but again, it's so hard to get a good picture.

I was inspired by this sketch from Sketches in Thyme # 411:

Showing Off

I had so much fun working with this page!

This all started with this mood board challenge from Creative Embellishments:

I immediately thought of peacocks when I saw these colors!
I knew I had peacock pics, but this guy certainly wasn't as colorful.
I knew I had to add as much color as I could.

The chipboard pieces are from Creative Embellishments.
I used an 6x6 piece and popped out the "stones".
I then added liquid pearls and Stickles to each piece.
I used gold liquid pearls on the main piece.

Once I had all the pieces painted and waiting to dry, I worked with some scraps to make a grid for the challenge at The Studio Challenges.

I used a lot of fun scraps - textured papers, mulberry and some metallics.

I was so happy with how this turned out!
I used liquid pearls, which haven't really been used in a while.
AND I used up lots of fun scraps!

Lasting Memories challenges

I played along with a couple of this month's challenges from Lasting Memories.

The first challenge was to mix and match patterned paper:

I used lots of patterned papers from DCWV.  And I found these beautiful flowers at Tuesday Morning.

Let's Celebrate

Hello there fellow scrappers!  It's been crazy 2 weeks so far this month!  I have been binge watching a show called Dexter and for some reason, I was so motivated and managed to get quite a few pages done!

Right now I am trying to finish up some pages from all of the school dances my daughter attended and a few honors assemblies.

Here are some pics of a great group of kids being inducted into the National Honor Society:

I used lots of DCWV papers and 3 different flowers punches with tiny buttons added.
The gold leaves are part of a title set from Thickers.

Here is the sketch I used from The Scraproom blog - the jump-start sketch:
