Happy Valentine's Day!!

I know, I'm a little late, but it didn't help that my pictures were delayed.  I did have to dig through an older stack of pictures to find this one of my daughter and her hubby.

It's time for my page reveal at Sketches in Thyme!  This was a fun one!

I found this background paper in the stash - I think it's an older Karen Foster wedding collection.
The flowers are fussy cut from a sheet by Authentique.  This paper was made to be fussy cut!
I added pop dots to add dimension to some of the flowers.
I added some random chipboard heart pieces and the title piece from Creative Embellishments.
I painted them white to keep it simple.

Here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme that Team 4  had to work with.
I thought about just using some of my flower punches, but after seeing this paper, I thought it worked better for me.
And the fussy cutting gave me something to do while I was watching Netflix.
Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the team has created!

The color scheme came about from this month's challenge at Creative Embellishments:
Black - white - and one color.
So happy I had this title in my stash.

Lovin' the Outdoors

Chipping away at some random pictures.

This was from a bunch of pics my hubby took when he took the kids skeet shooting.
There isn't much out there for this topic, but I did have these stickers in the stash.
I also used up some stuff from the scrap bin.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap #218:

I’m yours

I have to admit, I struggle with pictures for Valentine's Day.
We don't usually do much and I never think to take any pictures.
So, I resort to stealing pictures from my daughter's instagram.
Her and her hubby are so stinking cute!

For this page, I use a woodgrain background paper and a plaid piece from a Michael's paper pad.
I used velvet ribbon as a trim for the plaid strip.
The large black heart was hand cut.
The smaller hearts were hand drawn and then I filled them in with Stickles and Nuvo Drops.
The embellishments are from the stash - metal rimmed tag with heart cut outs.
The title pieces are from Dollar Tree.

I am using this page for the "Hearts" challenge at Challenge up Your Life.

Summer Sunset

The sun is finally shining!
The temps are in double digits!
Spring is getting closer!!

These are some pictures from Summer last year.

I used up more of an older Bo Bunny collection.
Lots of scrap pieces.
I also added some butterflies from Prima.

To get started, I used this sketch #219 from Sketch N Scrap:

We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow....
Spring is close, but not close enough!

Stick it Down February Challenge

Good morning!  I hope everyone is staying warm!  Temps here are below zero and it's perfect "stay home and scrap" weather.

It's time to reveal the Single Page sketch challenge from Stick it Down.  Here is the great sketch  for you to work with:

Here is my page:

I used a bit of paint on my background.  i crumpled up a paper towel to apply the different colors.
For the triangles, I fussy cut some patterned papers with trees.
I am in love with these huge titles from Hampton Arts too!

I hope you stop by Stick it Down and see what the Design Team has created!

Have a great day!!

Scrap Our Stash February Remix

Welcome to the newest challenge from Scrap Our Stash!

This month's challenge is to scraplift this fun layout by And Wiesbeck and you must include word / text paper:

Here is what I came up with:

I used some bits and pieces from a paper pad I found at Michael's and some scraps from the stash.
I chose to fussy cut some apples from a cut file (I don't have a machine) and colored them with markers.

Stop by Scrap Our Stash and see what the rest of the Design Team has to share!
I'm sure you'll find some great inspiration!

Bowling tournament

Happy Wednesday!!
I actually finished this page up last night, but didn't get a chance to post it here.

I copied the congratulatory letter my son received for the Pepsi Tournament a few years ago.
I then shrunk it down and reprinted it.
I also realized I need more bowling themed papers!

I started with the Scrappy Friends challenge for this month.

Here is the sketch from Rochelle:

I used bits and pieces that I had in the bowling theme folder.

I also played Tic Tac Toe with Stacy's game board:

I used a bunch of bowling themed stickers, chipboard arrows that I colored with Nuvo Drops and a few enamel dots.

I'm glad I was able to play along again this month!

Honor Student

This week at Sketches in Thyme there is a very interesting sketch to try out!  I have to admit, this one gave me quite the brain cramp...

Then I thought what a great way to use up a lot of those wallet sized photos!
I pulled out envelopes - lots of them - filled with these little tidbits.

I really felt like I took a chunk out of the photo stash...but not really...lol.

Stop by the Sketches in Thyme blog to see what the Maven's have done with this awesome sketch!

SUPER KID!

It's February already!!  Wow!  Spring is almost here!  lol...okay, maybe not that soo, but one can hope, right??

We have another great challenge this month over at Let's Get Sketchy.  I had more fun digging through the old stash for this one:

I found these letters by Recollections at Michael's a while ago.  No idea what I was going to do with them, but I had to have them.
Now I'm glad I had them.

Here is this month's sketch for you to try out:
