Polynesian Sunrise

One of my favorite things to do on our Disney vacations is to wake up ridiculously early to watch the sunrise.  Being at the Polynesian Resort overlooking the lake is the perfect place to be.

Here is my page for the White with 1 challenge.
I used some gold borders from the Christmas stash and a gold doily.  I colored in some of the cutouts with a black marker.

Here is the challenge:

Best Day Ever!

I gave up on working on Christmas pages and decided to start off the new year by getting back to work on our Disney Vacation.  Here is my first page for the New Year:

Lots of scraps and quite a few fun acrylic dots.
I dusted off the circle punches too.

Here is the sketch I used from The Studio Challenges:

I need to start making a list of my goals this year for scrapbooking.
Top of my list is of course, our 2017 Disney Trip.
We are not planning on going back until 2021, so I have plenty of time to get this one done....I hope!

Last Christmas layout of the year

Good morning all!!  Here is my last Christmas layout of the year.  I'm ready to get back to Disney pages!  Although, I know I'll have to squeeze in other things too.

I was so happy that I found all the letters to the title banner.  They were floating around in the box for quite a while.  I was missing an "R" which took a while to find but I did a happy dance when it appeared.   lol.
These are the last of my green / red poinsettias too.
Happy to clear out stash!

I used this fun sketch from My Creative Scrapbook.

Happy a Happy New Year!

"Merry" and bright

I LOVE this picture of my daughter trying to untangle Christmas lights!  LOL!  She was such a good sport, even if she wasn't happy.  On a good note, she did succeed in untangling all of them.

For this page, I used a cool chipboard border piece from Creative Embellishments.
These Christmas lights are the cutest thing ever!  I used about 5 different colors of Stickles on them.  Then I added some gold and silver Liquid Pearls for the sting.  I tried to use a bit of gold mist on the background, but the nozzle was clogged and it just splattered instead of spraying / misting.  :(

I put the word "Merry" in quotes - she was far from being "merry"...lol.

Here is the inspirational piece from Creative Embellishments - I went with a Christmas themed page for the challenge.

Have a great day!!!

Good evening!  Wow,..the day sure flew by quickly!

Here is my last page before I need to start dinner:

MORE scraps!!  I love remembering to pull out this giant ziplock bag of scraps to look through before I start on a page!  I feel accomplished every time I use pieces!
The stocking, present and candy canes and wooden accent pieces that I bought a long time ago.
Again, using up some old stash!

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap:

Lots of scraps and a few fun flowers and leaves.

christmas fun at the zoo

One of our favorite things to do around Christmas time is of course drive around and check out all the fun lights.
We also used to go to the zoo to see the zoo lights.
Here are some characters we met at the zoo a few years ago.

I used some scraps and this fun "snowball" trim.

I started out with this sketch from Sketch N Scrap:

SANTA!!!

Wow!!  This awesome title has been "in my way" for years!!  It works great with these pictures!!

I also used some glittery scraps, a strip of ribbon that came off a gift a few years ago, and a beautiful Christmas tree sticker set from Jolee's.

This page was inspired by this sketch from Sketches in Thyme #353:

I'm losing daylight so pictures are going to be difficult.  But I plan on working as long as I can and I'll just take pics tomorrow.  Have a great evening!!

December layout - Day 2

Of course, the holidays always start out with lots of decorating and preparation.
Here is our fireplace all ready for Santa's arrival.
The classic plate and mug for milk and cookies is all ready to be filled up right before bed.

I started out with some scraps from the Christmas stash.
I added gold borders from K&Company.
I also added gold doilies - gold is one of the hardest things to get a good picture of!
The title was something I found in the Christmas section at Walmart a few years ago.
I had to trim off the poinsettias to make it fit.  I then just added them somewhere else on the page.
It still didn't seem "done", so I inked the edges in Evergreen ink and then a little bit of Stickles.

I used this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

I hope you like it!

HO! HO! HO!...

...23 days to go!!!

Instead of doing a December Daily, I decided I will be doing a Daily December Christmas layout.
Hoping to get 25 Christmas pages done this month.  This SHOULD catch me up with pictures from the last 6-7 years.   And I'm hoping to clear up some Christmas stash -so I can buy all new stuff of course!

Here is my page for December 1st:

I used up some Imaginisce stash.
Lots of scraps, some die cuts and stickers.
I also added some really pretty bling brads from Bo Bunny.

To get started, I used this multi photo sketch from the Scraproom Blog:

Day 1 is off to a great start!
Time to get to work on Day 2!
