Christmas Joy

 Happy Scrapping Christmas!  Lucky enough to have the next 10 days to do nothing but scrap!

My inspiration was the newest challenge from Lasting Memories - to be inspired by a Famous Designer.

I had these really pretty papers in my stash from Vicki Boutin.

I fussy cut the wreath design from one sheet, flipped it over to use the pink and red pattern on the reverse side.

The flowers are from my ever growing stash.

The title is a wooden piece I found at Hobby Lobby.

I used Aladine I-Zink gold spray on it to give it color and a shimmer.

Merry Christmas!!

 So happy to have made it through the holidays unscathed!  And I have lots of scrapping stuff to play with!

It’s a Wonderful Life

Decorating the Tree

 I finished this one up before we had to head out, I just didn't have time to post it, so here it is now!  lol

Here are some fun pics of the kids decorating the tree.

i really miss all my kids being together. 

With one grown up and married, one in college and one still at home, it's very hard to get them all together at once.

This year, I made sure we will all be together for tree decorating and gingerbread house building.

Next week will be fun time!!

Epcot - Italy

 It's only 8pm and it feels like 11pm!  I am not a fan of days when it gets dark so early.

While I keep watching the clock until I know it's a good time to actually go to bed,  I finished up more Disney pics:

Kitties!!

 YAY!!!  Today is the beginning of a 5 day weekend for me!!  Im so excited!!!

My daughter always loves to play with the kitties at Petland.

I put this page together using the prompts from challenge # 572 from Lasting Memories - ephemera, chipboard and tags.

I've had these chipboard letters for-EVER!  

Most of the papers are from the scrap pile.

Maybe one day we will have a kitty of our own again.

Football is Life

 I am really enjoying this day off!  I managed to get some housecleaning done, laundry, grocery shopping, a bit of Christmas decorating and a couple of scrapbook pages.

Here is a fun mixed media page I did for this month's challenge from Creative Embellishments:

I did a paint splatter technique on the background.

Then I tore the house apart looking for a bit of bubble wrap to use as a stamp for the black paint.

The stars are chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments.

Mexico in Epcot

 Good morning!

After a quick shopping trip today and a birthday party, the rest of the weekend will be mine!

My plan is to knock out lots of pictures from Epcot in Disney.

Happy Hauntings

 Life has been so busy lately, I was finally able to sneak in a page.  I have so many pictures from our pumpkin carving session last year.  And my daughter and her husband went to Disney for Halloween.

So even though it feels like I don't have many pictures for Halloween, there they are!

Here is a page I made for my daughter using a few Disney elements:

The best part is the adorable chipboard haunted house piece from Creative Embellishments.

I used Nuvo Drops to cover the whole piece and added a few different colors for the windows.

The pumpkin face buttons have been in the stash forever.

The twine was something I just got in the mail from a package delivery.

A Dream is a Wish…

 I bought this kit on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  It was the first thing that came to mind when this week's challenge from Lasting Memories was posted:  To use florals.

I've had these Cinderella stickers for so long, I almost wasn't able to get them off the backing

I add a few strips of pearls - since I've had them sitting around on the shelf for a while.

Why not put them to use??

Being Happy

 Gooooood morning!  

After the long, tough week at work, I am so happy to be back at my desk creating.

For this page, I dug through my scraps - gotta use them!! - to find this strip on brown and tan gingham.

I knew I had this somewhere and I needed it for the challenge this week at Lasting Memories - to use Plaid, check or gingham. 

Most of the supplies I used are from 49 and Market. 

The quote I used is from A Cherry on Top.

I used some older rub on letters.

So glad I was able to use them up, as the toner for my printer needs to be replaced and I couldn't print...lol.

A wish for you

Well,  a wish for me actually...lol

I put this one together using a cut file and flowers from 49 and Market.

I used a cotton swab to add some ink to the cut file, and some cardstock behind the leaves.

The flowers were added randomly, along with some buttons and sequins.

The title piece came from Little Birdie crafts.

This was sprayed with I-Zink misting spray.

All of these elements add up to the recipe challenge from The Studio Challenges:

The Great Outdoors

Another day to scrap all I want!

I can get used to these long weekends!

Here is my first page for today.

I don't know if I ever mentioned before that I am addicted to anything and everything 49 and Market.

I have to have every collection they release and all the bits and pieces to go with it.

For this page, I used the Hike More collection.

These papers go perfectly with these fern leaves from Creative Embellishments. 

I used I-Zink misting sprays on them.

I can't believe how well they are matched to the papers!

For this month's challenge from Creative Embellishments, we were given this moodboard and had to add a map or globe.

I chose to add these map patterned papers behind my pictures and on the banner pieces.  

So glad my kids took this trip so I have thees wonderful reasons to use the collections!

 Last page of the night...so in love with Lemon Twist collection by Simple Stories.

I added a bit of Aladine I -Zink misting spray to my background.  

The circles were hand cut and I added a few enamel dots.

I love that this collection is so versatile and colorful.

I brought out 2 different circle punches to create some embellished circles for this page.

Lots of bits of scraps that I dug out of the stash. I found some camping / hiking stickers, along with some chipboard pieces.

MVP

I have decided to purge my stash even further. 

That means sorting through more pictures and either using the stash I bought for those pictures, or purge it.

This picture of my little guy when he played soccer it probably about 7 years old.l

In anticipation of him playing the sport for a few seasons, of course, I bought waaayyyy too much stuff.

This is the LAST soccer picture I have to scrap!

And it's ridiculous how much soccer related stuff I still have!

Beauty

 What a busy weekend!  So glad that I was able to find some time to relax and work on fun page.

These pics came to mind for this week's Game On challenge at Lasting Memories - Sequence.

Our choices were to use a grid pattern, 3 in a row or sequence pictures.

These could work for 3 in a row or sequence.

My is away at college and she facetimes me a lot.

While she is chatting away, I'm always taking screenshots. 

I love the trees and the sunshine that always seems to follow her around campus.

The chipboard piece is from Tres Jolie and the papers and flowers are all 49 and Market.

Space with Mickey

 This did not turn out the way I expected it to:

I need to make sure to take more pictures of the rides!

This was fun and I LOVE the Mickey in his space suit.

I added a bunch of sequins and stars to the space background.

I'm really getting the hang of using sequins all the time now.

Are We There Yet?

 Finally working with some random pictures from our road trip:

This was fun - I used up lots of old papers that I discovered when I was purging my stash.

I used Nuvo Drops on some chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments to mimic rocks at the side of the road.

The arrows are also Creative Embellishment pieces.

This was the mood board offered this month from Creative Embellishments.

The added challenge was to leave white space - which I totally forgot to do.

I Don't Want to Grow Up
