Last Thyme this year....

I have so much fun working with Sketches in Thyme each week. This was the last sketch I had to work with for this year. I can't wait to see what next year is going to bring!
The black and white patterned paper is from Imaginisce To Love and Cherish collection.
All of the flowers came from the stash drawer. I know I bought the big ones from Michael's during a huge Spring sale last year. I'm getting anxious for this year's sale too! Gotta restock all those beautiful flowers!

Frosted Flakes...

I switched out pictures for this sketch about 6 times before I finally settled on this cute little picture of my cousin's daughter. :)
This fun sketch is by Debbie Burns at Frosted Designs.
I used a brown marker on blue background paper to make a little border. The ribbon is from the stash. It took me a while to find it...guess I need to shop for more ribbon. :)
The stickers are from Bo Bunny.
The two big snowflakes are wooden accent pieces from Michael's. I added a little bit of snowflake bling to the centers. The smaller snowflakes are foam pieces, also from Michael's. I sprayed them with a little bit of Glimmer Mist and added bling to them also.
Behind the photo is big piece of mulberry paper that I tore to add a little something to the page. It's hard to see, but in person, it looks great! I may take a better picture later...I gotta go do that work thing today... :(

Have a great day!!! Looking forward to nothing but scrapping this weekend!!!!

Sassy Disney Christmas

Love how this page turned out! I started off with a great sketch from Sassy Lil' sketches. The bottom "photo" was a tag from the tree skirt I bought last year. I alternated punched circles and Disney stamps to make the outer circle. The bottom embellishment is another inked doily, with some dollar spot flowers and a Mickey head from my big punch. The title came from a set of letters from Colorbok from Target. :)

More December pages...

The two men in my life playing in the snow. I love this nature preserve. It is absolutely gorgeous in the winter. The sketch is from the December 21st reveal from Sassy Lil' Sketches.
I bought this border punch a few weeks ago and I am in love with it! The flower was handmade by my co-worker and I. We had some downtime at work and after watching a tutorial, we decided to give it a shot. We made a few of them and I'm still waiting for just the right page to put them on. :)

A fun sketch from Inspired Blueprints - #62. Again I used my new favorite border punch on gold paper to make the outline for the image on the right. I used some gold ink, a gold marker and some gold glitter to dress up my doily. I have some quick dry glue and it works amazing on glitter pages! I only have to wait 10 minutes instead of an hour. I outlined the red background in my gold marker and then made lots of dots. The stickers and other embellishments were laying around in the Christmas box screaming for attention. Now they have a place to show themselves off. :)

Let's Scrap DT Reveal

You just have to check out what the DT has done with this week's sketch at Let's Scrap! I'm still working on Christmas, but a few of the ladies will really get you in the mood for Spring and Summer!
I am sooo glad I saved a few days of vacation for the end of the year! I managed to scrap just about all of my photo Christmas Cards from last year...and have a new stack from this year!
I'm addicted to doilies....again. I started inking them up with a few different colors. They make a gorgeous background for all the poinsettia flowers from Michael's. And I used a bunch of scraps of Christmas papers from the stash.
Just a few more pages and last year's Christmas pictures will be finished! Just in time for this year's stack to be delivered. :)

Have a great day!

Creative Scrappers #136

A fun page using sketch #136 from Creative Scrappers! I glimmer misted the outer edge of the paper. The red and green squares are cut from a glitter sheet from DCWV. Most of the candy cane embellishments are from the dollar spot at Target. Gotta love those $1 deals!
And this is our Christmas card from LAST year...lol

Christmas and Winter pages

It feels so good to be able to get back into scrapping again! I think I made a dent in all the Christmas supplies I bought!

Here is a two-pager I made for Inspired Blueprints #61. This gorgeous ribbon was from a gift I had received from my scrapping co-worker. She knew what she was doing when she wrapped my gift. :)
I used some gold paper and my border punch to make the designs down the sides and the for the banners. The different tags were from the dollar spot at Michael's last year. And that adorable Santa title was from Jolee's.
I found this sheet of sticker titles in the clearance section. Some of them were hilarous! I can't wait to use the rest of them!

This second page is for a great sketch from Creative Scrappers #135. More gorgeous ribbon that has been in the stash forever! The giant snowflake is a wooden accent piece from Michael's, along with all the foam snowflakes.
The doilies were inked with different Studio G colors (also from Michael's).
I love this color combo!!

Sooo many more pictures to play with! Gotta keep the mojo moving! :)

Lots of Christmas pages!!

I love that my kids sleep late on Christmas morning! That means I get some "me" time! I feel like all I have been doing is accumulating Christmas scrapping goodies and not using them. Well, I tried my best to fix that problem and I'm not stopping now! I'm lucky enough to have tomorrow off too!
Today, when they finally wake up, I am taking everyone outside to build me a HUGE snowman! We haven't been able to do that for years due to lousy weather. So today...that will be fixed! I"m soooo excited!!!
So here is what I have been working on lately....

This is a GORGEOUS sketch by Suepup at Stuck on U Sketches. GORGEOUS!! This one probably took the longest to do, but it was FUN! I used a chipboard border along the outside. I covered it in Stickles and set it aside to dry for a while. Then I added red glitter to the outside of the doily and had to wait for that too. So we went to the in-laws for Christmas...lol. By the time I got home, everything was set and I was ready to finish. I used some handmade sparkly paper for the photo mat and distressed the edges a bit. The background paper has a slight shimmer to it and I gave it a quick mist with a light blue spray. Next, I went a little crazy with some ZVA swirly bling in red and blue, added lots of flowers and a few snowflakes. The title came from Jolee's and the journal spot was printed out by me. :)
I'm also submitting this one for Frosted Designs challenge this week. The challenge was to use a Christmas song. The whole time I was working on this, I would swear this title said Jingle Bells! Which is the song that they were singing with Santa. :)
This had to be my most favorite page of the weekend! I just love the way it sparkles!
This week at Sketches in Thyme we were able to use any sketch we chose. Since this page is going to be on display on my desk for a while, I'm glad I could play along with the wonderful ladies on the DT! :)

Next I have a quick page I did for the December 7th sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches. I used lots of papers from a kit I found last year in the Dollar Spot at Target. The title was made from Colorbok letters and some Jolee's stickers.

Sketchy Thursdays offered up a "secret" sketch for Facebook Fans this week...shhh....
I love scrapping family photo Christmas cards! I saved them all from last year and boy, did they come in handy! More Dollar Spot papers and a few miscellaneous embellishments. The ribbon is from the stash and the holly is a wooden accent piece from Michael's. :)

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I had the perfect photo! Another Christmas card from last year! More Dollar Spot papers! And a great sketch from Stuck?! And I am addicted to these blooms from Michael's! I bought tons of them on clearance! I can't wait to see the family's reaction when they see what I've done with their cards!

Thanks for looking!! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!!! I'm off to build my snowman and then work on more Christmas pages. I have to use up this stuff I bought...I have no place to put it! LOL!
Have a great day!!!

More snow pics...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking really nice pictures of the snow! The only problem is right after it snows, the temps usually drop to below zero. Umm...pictures just seem that important when it's that cold!
These are pictures from the local Nature Preserve last year. It's such a beautiful place to go any time of year.
I used a gorgeous sketch from Frosted Designs and beautiful chipboard pieces from Bo Bunny Midnight Frost.

It's so nice to finally have some "me" time...even if it is only for an hour.

:)

Creative Scrappers #134

Love this sketch from Creative Scrappers! I'm starting to run out of pictures to work with some of these sketches. Luckily, I found a stack of last year's Christmas cards. I love photo cards of all my family and friends. Seeing them grow each year is the best!
This photo is of my best friend's two kids. I sent her the picture of the layout with a comment and how they "used" to get along...lol.
Great kids and a great photo!
I used up lots of OLD stash. This is mostly from the Heidi Grace Sugar Plum Forest collection from years ago.
TFL!

Lots of presents...

...and lots more pictures scrapped! So excited to be getting these done,...until I look at the rest of the stack. Why isn't it getting smaller??!!
Lots of bits and pieces from the Christmas box and another great multi-photo sketch from Creative Scrappers - #132. :)

Merry and Bright

These are SOME of the pictures from a crazy Christmas house in a neighboring town. I love this Donald Duck sticker and I can imagine the homeowner doing this...lol.
I used sketch #133 from Creative Scrappers. :)

Candy Cane Hunt

Last one for today! I can't believe I actually managed to get some scrapping done today! I'm so excited about being able to do more this weekend!
I did this page for the sketch challenge for Sketchy Thursdays.
I couldn't even begin to give a realistic list of supplies. Everything just came from the stash.
I went through the Christmas box and ended up spending an hour sorting out Christmas stuff from Winter stuff. I realized I have too much of both....is that really possible??

Have a good night! :)

Just when I thought I was done...

I really have a lot of stuff to do today, but I can't seem to tear myself away from my desk!
This week's sketch challenge from Sketches in Thyme was quite different. I had no idea how I wanted to work this one out. I tried and tried and feel that I strayed quite a ways from the original sketch, but they are supposed to be inspiration, right?
I used my son's letter from Santa on the whole page. After it came in the mail, I asked him to sit in front of the tree so I can get some cool pics. Instead of cut circles, I used lots of bling.
The embellishments were mostly found in the dollar section at Michael's. These are actually gift tags that I changed a bit with more bling.

My daughter doesn't get home from school for at least another hour, so I may be able to start on another project....gotta love vacation time!

SOUS - NO sketch???

What do you mean, "no sketch"??!! I"m addicted to sketches! I NEED sketches!! How am I supposed to do a challenge without a sketch??
StuckonUSketches has another fun challenge this time around. All we had to do was use die cut papers from Bo Bunny...but no sketch.
I had a few pieces to choose from so I pulled everything out and spread it all around. So here I was, trying to figure out papers and embellishments and such, with no sketch!
Can you tell I really started relying on sketches??!
Anyway....
I stared at all my Bo Bunny goodness, not having a clue on what I wanted to do. I finally figured out, maybe I should choose some pictures to work with BEFORE I start picking out papers!
The second I ran across this pretty picture of a butterfly, I knew I had the right papers to use.
I still had lots of goodies from Kitchen Spice leftover. I had the perfect die cut paper and lots of leftover paper pieces. I triple matted the photo in Kitchen Spice leftovers. I added a piece of felt leaf border down the right side and then added some Prima flowers. The flowers just happened to be the right colors and also have cute little polka dots on them that matched the papers. A few gems and bling added to the flowers finished up that side.
Another half hour went by before I finally decided on a title. I ran across this title sticker from K&Company that also was the right color and had polka dots too.
I can't believe how lucky I got using the Bo Bunny papers and a really cool mix of things from the stash.
I think I'm getting my mojo back!
Just in time to get back to work...yuck....

Noel

I feel like I haven't scrapped in months! I decided today was the day I was going to accomplish something!
Here is a sketch from Stuck?! I used a couple of doilies that I inked a little bit. The poinsettias are from Michael's. At this time of year, you can get zillions of them dirt cheap! I think I need white ones, so I may run out today....shhh.
The ribbon is from the stash and the title is chipboard letters from Colorbok.
:)
I wish I could say I have my mojo back, but I need to get a few other things done around here before I can sit and scrap all day.

Sassy Lil Santa

Okay, maybe he's not so sassy...but this sketch is! The sketch is from Sassy Lil' Sketches. I've been fighting off the winter blues and haven't been scrapping much lately. I had the papers down, the pictures down...the embellishments were giving me a hard time. So there it sat...on my desk...for a whole week!
I just bought a whole bunch of new Christmas goodies...(shhhh!!!). I ended up using a whole mixture of everything. From Brenda Walton to the dollar spot at Michael's and back to the stash.
Hopefully, I will get my mojo back and keep at this stack of pictures!
:)
