Happy 4th fo July!!

What a wonderful, long, hot and humid weekend!
I"m so happy to have all this time to work on my daughter's Disney Honeymoon album:

Her favorite spot of all is the world Showcase in Epcot.
Here is Brittany and her husband Donny spending some time at the American Adventure spot.
Of course, I had to incorporate a Mickey in there somewhere.

My main inspiration was this sketch from Creative Embellishments this month:

I added some Creative Embellishments chipboard banner pieces after I inked them.
We were also challenged to add a stamped image to your page.
I realized at this point that I did not have any 4th of July stamps or even any stars!!
How is that possible???
I managed to add a small banner stamp and attached some micro star confetti.
And added another line to my shopping list.

Be proud of who you are

Happy Sunday!  It's a hot one today.  We survived an early morning baseball game with a big win!
And I still had time to enjoy a quiet afternoon at my desk.

I put together this page for a challenge from Creative Embellishments.

For the background, I chose an off white sheet with a very subtle pattern.  Then I used a quick and light spray of a wood colored Misting Spray.
I used some texture paste on some piece3s of chipboard and then went over them with some Liquid Pearls.
t
To fill in some of the empty spots, I added a few buttons.

This is inspirational photo for this month's challenge along with a few gears to complete the challenge:

Take me out to the Ballgame

I swore I was not going to scrap anything this month unless I worked on some unfinished projects.

Well, I finished up a painting project, so I gave myself a treat and worked on a page.

I thought about this one all morning.
Since I told myself this was going to be my only page this weekend,  I wanted to take my time with it.

My first inspiration came from this month's Tic Tac Toe board from Stacy:

I chose to use the journaling card, a tag and some circles.
I used a few baseball stickers as my circles.

My second point of inspiration was the June sketch from Rochelle Spears:

A lot of these elements have been around for a long time.
I took the time to go through everything in the stash and carefully choose a few items that I could use.
Then, as I binge watch Criminal Minds, I worked on matching things up.
The baseball equipment  and  Mickey Mouse were a much older set of stickers from Jolee's.
Ive been missing working with Disney, so this was a quick opportunity for me to get it out of my system for a while.

It may or may not have worked...

Family

I LOVE this collection from Simple Stories - Vintage Ancestry:

I played Tic Tac Toe with Stacy for this page:

I use stickers - twine - enamel dots

My favorite part was the grid that I made using a marker to draw light lines and then filling each spot with stickers.

So happy with how this one turned out!

Love and Strength

Good morning!
Benefits to waking up at the crack of dawn - getting a page or two done!

I put this together using a kit I scored at Hobby Lobby, who is having a HUGE clearance sale!
This kit cost me a whopping $1.49!
I fussy cut the flowers and added some pop dots.

Here is the sketch I used = #225 from Sketch N Scrap:

Hello there!

Our pet tortoise is the best pet we have ever had!  He is so fun, for as much fun as a tortoise can be.

He's so low maintenance and just so - chill.

I used this sketch from Rochelle Spears to get started:

.

I've been dabbling in mixed media lately.
For my background, I dusted off some older bottles of Tattered Angels misting sprays.
This is a mix of 3 different colors.
Instead of spraying them directly on the paper, I spray them on a sheet of plastic, sprayed with a mist of water to get them to mix and then laid my paper on top.
This gave me the look watercolor look and not the "sprayed" look.
I like this technique - although its still a bit messy...lol.

Yeah, that’s my boy!

This month's sketch from Stick it Down was a great one photo page that came just in time for this great picture of my son and I:

I used the Cocoa Vanilla Legendary collection, lots of pop dots and Nuvo Drops.

Here is the original sketch:

I can't believe how quickly this came together!
It helps when you're inspired by a great sketch.
