Play Ball Starburst

We are having some big thunderstorms right now.  All the more reasons to stay inside and work on some pages.

Here is my latest starburst page.

I cut these stars out of a sheet from We R Memory Keepers.

This sketch from Sketches in Thyme # 429 was my inspiration:

Baseball Opening Parade

Good morning!  It's going to be a HOT one today.  My goal is to hide out in the house, do laundry and scrap all day.  Where it's nice and cool.

Here is what I worked on last night while binge watching Reign on Netflix:

I just found these alphas at Tuesday Morning yesterday and had to start using them right away.
They were perfect for my title.

I used the second challenge from Scrap Our Stash to start with.
The sketch challenge also called for using star patterned paper and star embellishments.
I also found these foam stars while I was out yesterday.

Fun Sports pages

Knocking out lots of pictures from some past sporting events.

I used some misting sprays on my background.
All of the images are print and cut from the internet.

For this page, I used up a bunch of stickers from different 12x12 collections.

I put these pages together using these sketches from Stick it Down sketches this month:

Teamwork

I had some fun playing with some paints today.
I used white and brown to "mess up" my background a bit for this baseball page:

I couple of scraps, buttons and journal cards, and here is the final project.
I love the pictures of these kids!

Here is the sketch from Sketches in Thyme #428 that motivated me today:

My Heart

This is a great pic of me and my mini me:

I LOVE this collection called HEART by Simple Stories!!

I found the inspiration to break into this kit from this month's challenge from Challenge YOUrself.
They offered a great sketch to use, you just had to remember to add YOU to the page:

So much fun!
And so much more of this kit I can play with!

The Hershey Store

Crossing the border into Canada, we found the Hershey Store!!
Not only do they have tons of candy, they have the cutest photo ops!!

Here is a GIANT Hershey Kiss more than happy to pose for pics:

I used some print and cut images from an internet search.
I added some silver sheen papers for my photo mats.
The square brads are actually silver too, but taking pics is becoming a challenge with shiny stuff.

Strike 'em out!!

I have sooo many baseball pictures to scrap, so it's really great when i have a multi photo sketch to work with!

Here is my page that I was able to use 6 photos on!   I had a harder time finding just the right pics, but it all came together quickly.

Here is the original sketch for challenge #505 from Lasting Memories that got me motivated:

Looking forward to the next sketch!

All Star Team

At Cooking Up Creations there is a new challenge posted for the 4th of July celebration.
The challenge is to use red and blue accents on your page, while maintaining 75% of your page in white.

Here is what I came up with:

I hand drew the large star with a template I printed from the internet.
I then used blue paint and a sponge for some blue highlights.
The stars were all punched with a Creative Memories star punch.
To emphasis the white, I put all my white stars on pop dots.

Here the sketch that inspired me from Sketches in Thyme:

Learning in Kindergarten

This month at Cooking up Creations, we are having fun with lots of "white with one" challenges.

4 times a week, a new color challenge will be posted.
Along with the chosen color from our Chefs, you must keep your layout or project at least 75% white.

Here is how I used the Rainbow challenge:

This was an old sticker set from years ago.
So happy that it came in handy!
The paint splatters are also stickers.

I used this challenge - #204 from Sketch N Scrap:

The Harlem Globetrotters

Hello again!  I have been totally inspired to finally scrap pictures of some sporting events we went to a few years ago.
Today, I worked with our pics and tickets from a Harlem Globetrotters Game:

Since I had all my red, white and blue goodies out for July pages, I used some scraps to go with the team logo.
Tucked behind the pic and a basketball, I slipped in our game tickets.

I added some large basketball stickers and some confetti stars to finish off the page.

Here is the original sketch I used from Rochelle Spears:

Chicago Wolves

I love sketches!!!  This month at Lasting Memories, the challenges are all about SKETCHES!!

Here is my take on sketch #504 - the first one this month:

I was finally able to use this hockey themed paper.
I printed out some images of the team's logo and cut them out.
I also added a few of our game tickets.

13 in Quarantine

It really sucked that we couldn't do much for my son turning 13 this year.
We couldn't have a party or anything due to the Covid quanrantine.  He is really in love with these Little Debbie zebra cakes, so we stuck a candle in one and had a REALLY small celebration.
Hopefully, we can do it up right soon.

I used some papers from the Fancy Pants Cake Smash collection.
My balloons are chipboard shaker set from Creative Embellishments.
This month's challenge from Creative Embellishments is to use this fun and colorful moodboard for your project along with a birthday theme:

This was so fun to make!
