Wow...was it ever nice to have an hour or two to myself finally! It's always so tough dealing with the holidays as it is, and then when everyone gets sick, it just makes it even harder to deal with. My little guy is still a little icky, my hubby has a terrible cold, my oldest had the stomach flu....so far, knock on wood (knocks on own head), I've been hanging in there. Unfortunately, that means the burden of everything has fallen on my shoulders. It's not too bad, I like being in charge and taking care of everyone, but once in a while,...I just want a time out!
So that's what happened Tuesday night. I was finally able to get a page done! WOOHOO!!
Challenge #9 from Paper Lovin' Gals was a GORGEOUS photo inspiration of a wintery barn. LOVE IT!! I was so determined to get this one done.
I chose a beautiful sketch from Stuck on U Sketches to work on a Wintery/ Christmas page.
I had to handcut the shaped piece and then I used some silver ink on the edges. The background paper was sprinkled with a little bit of Sparkle mist and then the edges were inked in gold. I added more border punches to my Christmas list this year. I have 3 and this is my favorite. After I punched the border, I scored it and folded it in a bit to give the photo mat dimension. This was also inked in silver. Silver and gold...silver and gold...sorry...lol.
Aren't these poinsetta stickers pretty?? And the pine cones?? Guess what?? I found those in the Christmas decoration section at Walmart! Each set was only $1.50! Wait till you see the borders I bought! Beautiful!
The Happy H0lidays sentiment was from Echo Park. I added a few pop dots to the center circle.
