Paper Lovin' Gals #16

This week at Paper Lovin' Gals we were giving this really pretty photo to work with. All I could focus on were those pretty shades of green and purple. Well, it looked purple....then it was pink...then I decided to stay with purple. This is probably the most neglected color in my stash.
I used a wrapping technique I have seen a few times to outline my patterned circle. It was a little bit difficult, but I love the end result.
The chipboard pieces are from K&Company. The flowers are all a mixture of things in the stash. So glad I am still able to use these fun goodies! I knew they would come in handy one day. :)

Even the strips of patterned paper came from the scrap box.
I used this sketch from My Creative Sketches. I just recently started following this site. I love all the DT projects! So creative!
Speaking of creative, don't forget to stop by Paper Lovin' Gals to see what our lovely ladies have created!

Have a great weekend! Especially those that are lucky enough to be at CHA!

Kraft Funday.... Best Day Ever

I'm loving all the My Mind's Eye Funday goodies! There were a bunch of things in the Artful Delight kit. I snuck out of the house a few days ago and added a few more pieces.

Here is my take on sketch #63 from Sketchabilities. I used a mask and tried a light misting on the background paper.

Then I added quite a few chipboard elements. My favorite part is the circle banner. So much fun!
My trashy TV is coming on soon, so I calling it a night for scrapping fun.

Have a great night!!

Lucky Us

Or should I say "Lucky Me". I have two of the biggest hams ever! These two just love having their picture taken. I can take them anywhere and they have started finding just the right spots to take photos. We can go for a walk and all I hear is "MOM!! Take my picture!!". Yep...lucky me!

Here is sketch #191 from Creative Scrappers. I used a green marker to draw some outlines on the card stock. All of the stickers are from the stash...from a much older collection from Reminisce.

My color inspiration came from the scrap lift challenge at Scrap Whispers. Rosey had this great page up and ready to be lifted. I love all the green! My family is Irish, so I have LOTS of St. Patrick's Day photos. Green was the perfect thing to lift. :)

I'm waiting for the sun to come out so I can so take more snow pictures....and my little snow buddy melted last week, so we need to revive him.

Have a great Sunday!!!

So Unique

Since a lot of people are thinking "new" lately, I thought I would try something new and work with some Authentique papers.
This is yet another collection that I have been hoarding. All of the papers are almost to pretty to cut!
Here is the January sketch from Authentique. (love the little smilie faces)

And here is what I came up with.
The papers that I used are from the "Uncommon" collection.
"Gifted"
"Unique"
and a journal spot/title card.
I love that these papers are double sided. I did a little bit of fussy cutting on one side for the flowers. The ribbon and the trims are from my personal stash.
I also have some bits and pieces from the "Blissful" collection. I may have to play with those too.....

Sea Life

I was finally inspired to use my new stash of Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket! I love this whole line and for some reason I just couldn't find just the right time to use it all.
Then came along this fun sketch #66 by Sketches in Thyme. :)

I actually put the whole page together with a few pieces from Salt Air...then I started looking for the right pictures to use. Backwards, I know, but I knew I had a bunch of pictures from our trip to the aquarium.
I added some little "bubbles" of Stickles to the corners of the pages just for fun. :)

I think I just might throw the kids in the snow in a bit...just for fun. :)

Sweet Heartstrings

I pulled out my Artful Delight kit to play along with the sketch from Jillibean Soup. I love all the hearts on the papers and thought these fun pictures of my family "showing some love" would work well.

I used my cutting tool to cut out some flower shapes from one sheet. Then I fussy cut some of the hearts out of another sheet. The flower shapes were then scored so they weren't so boring and "flat".
I threaded a piece of pink thru the hearts to string them together...hence the title. :)

I'm loving this kit and actually went out to by a few more sheets to go with it. Let's see what I can do with this kit....

Snowed in and Scrapping!

Good Morning! Well, we got hit with about 8-10 inches snow here....finally. I knew it was coming, I just wish it didn't happen during a Friday commute home from work. It took me a mere 2 and a half hours to get home last night. :(

Oh well....the temps are slowly rising so at least we will get a chance to go out and play in it this weekend. That's the only exciting part!

I worked on this sketch from My Mind's Eye during the week. At least it kept my mind off of the impending storm.

I am so in love with so much of the Lost and Found collection. I just bought a whole bunch and I'm so excited to play with my new stash! I used quite a few different patterns.
After I cut the circles, I used my new Tim Holtz distressing tool on the edges.
For the patterned strip, I fussy cut a piece and scored it a bit for dimension.

And of course, this handsome little guy is my soon to be 5 year old. Sigh....time flies....

Time to dig out the cars and get some stuff done around here...mainly sorting through more pictures to scrap today. :)

Enjoy your Saturday!
