Fancy dresses

I love playing dress up with my granddaughter.  Of course, she has quite the extensive wardrobe already.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her in a fancy dress.  I printed this at least 3 times, in color, black and white and different sizes.

She is just too adorable!

I was getting ready to work on this page when Lasting Memories posted this week's challenge:

I found these adorable butterflies in the really old stash and I dug through everything to find these gold buttons.

Time to clean up my desk and get ready for next week!

Cajun eats

One of the most memorable things about our visit to New Orleans was the food!

We tried alligator bites, frog legs and added some shrimp.  YUM!!

I used my circle punch on some scraps for my circle background.

I just happened to have some leftover leaves on my desk that I added just for some flair.
And who can say no to adding buttons to anything??

Lafayette Cemetery No.1

I am just flying through these New Orleans pictures!

I am so glad to be motivated and able to sneak in plenty of time to get this album done.

Challenge #715 from Lasting Memories is to use wet mixed media.

Since my latest obsession is Stencil Butters - I am so excited to get another chance to play with them.

I used a brick patterned stencil and Driftwood stencil butter from The Crafter's Workshop.

These are some of the pictures that were taken at these hauntingly beautiful, historical cemeteries in New Orleans.

Now to clean up the mess I made.

Always stop and smell the flowers

Good morning!   This page has been on my desk all week while I worked on how to do the title.

All of my papers are from 13Arts.
The flowers and trim are all from the "way old" stash.

This was put together using challenge # 713 from Lasting Memories- to use 2 or more clusters of 3.

Time with Nature

My daughter had an internship in Colorado this year.  She had a great time and was able to do a lot of sight seeing and hiking in the mountains.

Here is one the amazing pictures she took while out on a hike with friends:

I used 3 different misting sprays to distress my white background.
The papers are all a mix from the scrap box.
The stickers are all from Simple Stories collections.
I also added some chipboard leaves that I covered with stencil butters - my new favorite medium!

I used this sketch from the Scrappy Friends challenge from Rochelle:

I went down the right side:

Time to get some layouts organized to start putting them in albums!
