A very productive day

I woke up at the crack of dawn today to get started on my plans.  I wanted to get a few pages done and plan out a few more.
I managed to get 2 done before we had to leave for our fun day out.
I took the kids to the zoo to see the stingrays and the butterflies.  Needless to say, I took LOTS of new pics!  The butterflies were soooo pretty and more than happy to show off!

So this weekend is the big Anniversary Crop at Practical Scrappers!  They are having lots of fun challenges with awesome prizes!

My first challenge was to use yellow as the dominant color on your project.  This is about as yellow as I could  I used the sketch from this week's challenge at Scrapbook Steals.
My second challenge was to use a clown.  My kids are all clowns, but I didn't think that was what was meant.  This is my daughter and her classmates clowning around at the museum.
The sketch is from Stuck on U Sketches. :)

This was as far as I got today.  The sketch was challenge #7 from Practical Scrappers.  And the added challenge is from Scraproom Blog.  We had to make something "pop" off our project.  I used 3D butterflies, but I added pop dots to them to make them a little more dimensional.  The background paper is an ollld page from Time Savers.  I added some butterfly charms to the title tag for the ABC crop for My Sketch World.   I used them as the "A" for adornment.  :)
Now I'm tired and I desperately need a nap!   Hopefully I will get a few more challenges finished up today.

Enjoy your Saturday!

  1. Look at you awesome lady! All of the photos on these LO's are wonderful and so much fun!
I also like each page and the subtle details (I really like the monotone colors in the last page wit the brighter butterflies!)

  2. Wendy, you must be a fast scrapper .. which I am not! Great pages ..thanks for playing with us this week .. I adored Leah's sketch .. so proud of her!
