Off the Wall Inspiration

Lost in my little world of hundreds of pictures, I was looking for something that would work with this week's color inspiration from Off the Wall Craftiness.
I decided to work backwards and while I going thru my stash, I ran across this sheet of stickers from Bo Bunny.  That finally set the wheels in motion.
I used this week's sketch from Sketches in Thyme.
I grabbed a doily from Michael's and colored the whole thing in by hand with my Tombow markers.
Along the bottom I added a few miscellaneous scraps of ribbons. Prima and K&Company flowers finished off the page.

Yes, I know I strayed from the vacation pictures, but the sketch and the color combo were just too cool!

:)

Here comes the sun

Back to the vacation pictures.  I really wish we could back soon.
This was our view from the verandah on the Disney Cruise.
All the papers are from K&Company - a few different lines.
The chipboard letters are also from K&Company.
The title block is from Colorbok and I used rubon letters.
The circle is all bling.  It's actually green but looks black.
The sketch is #119 from Creative Scrappers.
And I'm also submitting this to Frosted Designs for the circle challenge this week.
A circle made of circle bling...lol.

LOTS of pictures!

Well, this is one way to get a lot of pictures scrapped!
This awesome 2 page sketch is from Let's Scrap.  It didn't come out exactly like the sketch.  I saw what part I forgot, but I'm still happy to have gotten it finished.
I saved the scraps from some other pictures because they were scenery and I like to use those little pieces for accents.  The smaller pictures are a result of scraps and cutting up 3 larger pictures.
I used solid cardstock for the whole page.
The letter stickers are from Doodlebug Designs.
The palm tree and seashell are painted wooden accents from Michael's.
And then of course, my favorite...lots of buttons!
After I had everything adhered to the page, I outlined EVERYTHING in a fine tip Tombow marker.
And I only slipped ONCE!
This one took a lot of measuring and cutting to get it just right...I need a break now.
IT'S PIZZA TIME!!!

Lil' Travelers

Are these the cutest lil' traveling buddies ever??
Sooo glad I have the Jet Setters Kit from KI Memories to get me through this stack of photos.  I have pics from every step of the way....car, bus, plane, train, boat....
The title was made with Thickers Letters and the planes at the bottom are also from Thickers.  I inked them up with some Cat's Eyes ink pads.

:)

I know I'm all over the place with vacation photos, but I'm getting them done!  Hubby will be so happy!

Ocean front Property

Wouldn't that be wonderful??  To just sit out there on the rocks and watch the waves all day?
Sigh....I need another vacation....
This was a fun sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.  I love the little circles!  It gave me a chance to use these beach/water buttons from Inspirables.  I've only had them for ....um...too long.
The title is a mixture of things I found in the stash.  The darker circles I punched out from a scrap piece of Old World Paper from DCWV.
So much for all the dinner pics, but at least I still worked on vacation stuff!
:)

A Day of Scrapping

I have the whole house to myself all day today!  I just ordered a new batch of pictures too!  But then the hubby asked if I had finished up last year's Disney vacation photos....ummm...no?
So my goal today is to take a chunk out of that stack.   I took lots of fun photos of our group at all the different restaurants on the Disney Cruise.  So hopefully, I will get through at least those pics today.
This sketch is from Scrap-tures.   My first time playing along with this group and they offered up a great sketch!
I used up some of my stash from We R Memory Keepers - White Out.  The brads are from DCWV...I think...lol.
I used my border punch on the piece for the strip in the middle and for the top title, after I sprayed it with a  little Glimmer Mist.

I'm off to find more pics for the next sketch...stayed tuned!

More Sassy Lil' Sketches

Another great multi-photo sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches!
I used up a whole card kit from the dollar spot at Target.  I started out with solid light pink paper and trimmed the whole page with wide black and pink dotted ribbon.  The pink and white dotted ribbon was from the stash.
I used stamps for the Happy Birthday title and a Thickers foam number "8".
Everything else came from the kit...for $1!

:)

Cherry Picking

Here is a page I did for Sketchabilities!  The sketch called for a scalloped circle behind the picture.  I was searching for just the right papers to use and ran across this cherry mini album.  I stole a page from the album and inked it up a bit.  I also added some detail with Tombow markers and some buttons.  All the papers are from the scrap stash.  The dingle ball accent was something I just found at Archiver's.  I was thinking cherries and the cashier was thinking Christmas, so we enlightened each other with cool ideas!

Love having Tuesdays off!!

Colorful Friends

This was a fun colorful page!  Most of the elements were from the Dollar Spot at Target.  The green rick rack was from the stash as well as the rainbow eyelash fibers.
The color inspiration is this week's challenge at Off The Wall Craftiness.  I would love to have a fun party like the one in the inspiration photo!
TFL!

:)

Getting Sassy

Okay, maybe Sassy isn't the right word for these pictures, but the sketch is pretty Sassy.
Sassy Little Sketches offered up this gem this week.  More multi-photo spots!
I used more of the Basic Grey Granola kit.  I can't believe that this is probably the 4th layout I have made with the kit and I still have more left.  I found the whole set at Generations Crafting.
The title letters are from Pink Paisley.

TFL!

:)

Still Stuck?! on Sketches

Still having fun working on this month's sketches from Stuck?!
The patterned papers are from Basic Grey Granola Collection.
The accent pieces are from Colorbok Wild Indigo Collection.
I also added some pieces of ribbon from the stash.

Off to see what kinda trouble I can get into next....

Stuck??!! Birthday Bonus #2

We're still helping Stuck?! on Sketches celebrated their birthday this month!  Lots of sketches and fun prizes!
This is Bonus Sketch #2
I really have to stop focusing on "pretty" pictures and get to work on the rest of the event stuff.  Here are more pictures of our last fishing trip.  Of course, Jessica is always the first one to catch a fish.  You can tell by her smile,  she is soo proud of herself!
All of the fishing stuff I found in the clearance section at Hobby Lobby.
I used some scraps of different papers and added some stitching rubons.

TFL!! :)

Creative Scrappers #117

A GREAT multi-photo sketch!  I have a huge stack of Halloween pictures that I need to get to work on.
The sketch is #117 from Creative Scrappers.
The papers are from last year's DCWV Halloween Stack...maybe even the year before.  All I know for sure is that my Halloween goodies are getting used finally!  The circle spots are from Heidi Grace.  No idea how old those are....
And the buttons are all from the stash.

My LIttle Buddy

This is one of my favorite pics of my little guy and me.  We were sitting on a train going through Gatorland and I was saving it to do something with a train theme.  But...I saw the sketch at Stuck On U Sketches this week and decided it would work better this way.  I'm really making good use of my Curvy Cutter lately!  Lots of challenging circles to work with.  The patterned frames are from DCWV Flower Power Stack.  I outlined the whole page with my ruler and a dark brown marker.

Other supplies:
Miscellaneous ribbons
Miscellaneous buttons
Fabric embellishments from Joann's
Chipboard tag for the title
The title is from Wild Asparagus

Back to School

I still can't take a good picture!  This is so much brighter in real life!  Maybe I'll try again tomorrow...
This week's challenge at Frosted Designs is to do a school project.
I used solid black cardstock for the center piece and doodled on it with white crayon.  The stickers and ribbons were all found in the stash.  I just realized how many school pictures I have and how LITTLE supplies I have!  Looks like a trip to the store is in my near future....

Sketchy Thursday GDT

I have been staring at this sketch for more than a week trying to decide what to do with it.  Then I finally decided on a picture...and there it sat for a few more days.  Tonight I was finally inspired enough to get to work on it.  This is my submission for the Guest Designer Challenge at Sketchy Thursdays.  Wish me luck!
Most of the paper is from My Mind's Eye - Meadowlark Collection.
Then I added a few pieces from Colorbok - Nocturne Collection.
The orange pieces are from Colorbok - Sweet Clementine.
And I used one lonely Bazzill Border strip and inked it black.
I actually broke out the old Coluzzle Cutting system to cut the photo and the mat.

:)

Down on the Farm

Another great multi-photo sketch from Aphra Bolyer!  She created sketch #137 for Sketch Inspiration this week.

The title block is from My Mind's Eye from a few years ago.  And the buttons are from my stash.

EVERYTHING else on the page is from KATIESKREATIONS4U.ETSY.COM.
She has the CUTEST embellishment sets!!  I didn't even use everything in the set!  Which is a good thing,  because I still have lots of pics from the farm.  And with Fall right around the corner, I'm sure I will have lots more.

:)

Frosted Recipes

I am having so much trouble getting good lighting for my pictures lately!  I swear no matter where I am, I get a glare or a shadow....ggrrr!!!!
This sketch is from Sketches in Thyme.  I had to flip the pictures around to make it work for me.  Loving the multi photo sketches!
I used up some of the old stash again.  This time everything is from Reminisce Girly Girl from a few years back.
Frosted Designs hosted a challenge this week which included a recipe for your project.  I tried to use as much as possible, but had to leave a few things out.  I only had to use 5 ingredients, so I chose:

Pink, purple or blue
Ribbon
Flowers
Buttons
Butterflies
and Glitter

The title is a rubon from My Mind's Eye.  This was fun and my daughter loves it.  She can't wait to show her school friends...lol.

Thyme for sketch #10

I almost ran out of thyme to work on this sketch!  I haven't been working on many pages lately, so I sat down at my desk and decided it's thyme to get back to work.  It took some thyme to decide which papers I wanted to use.  By the thyme I found what I wanted, I cut the wrong one.  My background ended up being cut for the center piece.  After staring at it for some thyme, I realized what I did wrong.  It took some thyme to take it apart and put it together the right way.  The tree is a chipboard piece from Colorbok that I bought some thyme ago.  The title is from K&Company.
And if you didn't guess....the sketch is from Sketches in Thyme.

:)   Can you tell I'm overtired?  It's thyme to go to bed.....

The Original Scrapbox Giveaway!

How amazing is this giveaway!!!

YOU MUST go here http://www.creativetimeforme.com/2010/08/scrap-box-giveaway-episode77.html  to check this out!!!

Another page...finally!

I feel like I haven't scrapped in ages.  We had a really busy ( and photo crazy) weekend.  I just placed another order for more pics.
I had started this page a few days ago and I finally found the time to finish it. The bad thing right now is I don't know when I will find my mojo to do more.

This sketch is from Scrapbook Steals, the mid-week mojo.  The color inspiration is from Off The Wall Craftiness.

I used some snowflake lace cardstock on top of purple cardstock.  The ribbon is something from the stash.  I sprayed the tags with purple glimmer mist and added the chipboard snowflakes.  I added some big bling to the centers.  For the title, I used a piece of textured paper from Sizzix and Thickers letters.

I'm so happy to finally have this page finished!!

Have a great week!

Sassy sketches

This is my first time participating at Sassy Sketches.  This was another fun sketch.  I had to have this picture in the scrapbook somewhere and was just waiting for the perfect sketch.  Luckily, I ran across this one.   I used up some scrappy strips of patterned papers.  The titles and the glittery strips came from the newest collection from Colorbok - Wild Indigo.

Creative Scrappers #116

I didn't realize how much time I still had before I had to start making dinner, so I whipped out another page with a cool sketch from Creative Scrappers.
This is #116 and the minute I saw the sketch with all the little circles, I knew it was going to be a water page.
And of course, I had to use lots of buttons.  I think I'm going to put in a request for Santa to fill my stocking with buttons this year.  At this rate, I'm going to need every color and every size!

Tuesday's Tasks

A vacation day in the middle of the week is the best feeling EVER!  It's been a long time coming and I'm glad the weather held out so I could chase the kids outside and I could have peace and quiet...for about 10 minutes.   This first page is Sketch #136 from Sketch Inspiration.  The seashells and castle are wooden accents from Michael's.  The title is a rub on from Imaginisce Splash Dance.  The pearl bling is from ZVA.  I'm also submitting this to Frosted Designs for this week's "Celebrate Life" challenge.  I love this picture from our vacation!  I wish we could go back!
Another great sketch from Let's Scrap.  I used a Bella Blvd. kit and added lots of flowers and gem brads.

This two pager is the August sketch from My Sketch World.  The background paper is from DCWV Old World Stack.  The borders are from K&Company.  I added some bling to the border and the chipboard letters for the title.

Time for some lunch while I decide what to do next....

Horsin' Around

It stinks that I bought all this cute horse stuff, but it's related to cowboys and cowgirls!  And as you can see, neither one are in these pictures.  I guess I better get them saddled up.
Almost everything here is from Bella Blvd. Man of the House kit.  I can't believe how much is coming out of one little kit!  The letters are Thickers that were in the kit too.  The yellow circle is from DCWV Flower Shower Die Cut Stack.
The sketch is this week's challenge from Sketches in Thyme.

Using quotes...

Even though the possibilities are endless, when I have to use a quote on a page for a challenge, I have the hardest time!  The first thing that pops into my head is anything Disney.  Luckily, I have a book of Disney quotes, but that only goes so far.  Sometimes, I just don't have the right pictures to match a quote.  This is most frustrating challenge for me!
So here is my baby boy, who is absolutely fearless, enjoying his first rock wall climbing experience.  Of course, I only took about a hundred pictures.  I ran across this quote from the Blue Fairy in Pinnochio and I was sold.
The sketch is from Stuck!? on Sketches and everything on the page is from Bella Blvd. - Man of the House collection.
I wish I could play all day, but we have a million things to do today.
Have a great Sunday!!!

Watermelon fun

Last Practical Scrappers challenge for tonight....
Challenge #3 was to either do a watermelon layout or use the colors pink and green.  Since I haven't made my kids sit through a watermelon photo session (yet), I found these great pictures that would work.
I used the Bonus Sketch from Stuck!? on Sketches.
I used mostly solid scraps of cardstock.  On the pink strip, I used my favorite border punch.  For the circles, I started with Big Brads, then buttons, snaps and finished up with eyelets.
Now I am tired and going to bed!

Have a great night!

Still scrappin....

Practical Scrappers Challenge #9!  I sprayed the paper with black Glimmer Mist and added some black swirl bling to simulate smoke.

Practical Scrappers Challenge #5 - Show your family having some fun!  This is part of last year's trip to Boo at the Zoo.  The sketch is from Sketchy Thursdays.
Waiting for the hubby to get home from work so we can get out and enjoy another excursion today!  We're going to be running out of daylight soon....
I guess I can keep working on challenges...for now....

Thanks Debbie!!!

I am having so much fun playing with all the pool goodies that I won from Debbie's Blog Candy!  Most of the package was from Reminisce - Pool Party, and there were a few other goodies added in.  A VERY generous prize!
This is the 3rd page I complete using the prize and there is still TONS left.  Which is a good thing, because I went camera crazy this summer while the kids were in the pool.
I used sketch #115 from Creative Scrappers.
This page works for the My Sketch World challenge - to use 4 photos.
But the best part is that I knocked another challenge off the list for the Practical Scrappers party!  We had to use 3 different types of bling.  Using the list provided, I chose to use Glimmer Mist (blue and gold), crystal sticker from Michael's and glittered brads from the stash.

Thanks again Debbie!!

A very productive day

I woke up at the crack of dawn today to get started on my plans.  I wanted to get a few pages done and plan out a few more.
I managed to get 2 done before we had to leave for our fun day out.
I took the kids to the zoo to see the stingrays and the butterflies.  Needless to say, I took LOTS of new pics!  The butterflies were soooo pretty and more than happy to show off!

So this weekend is the big Anniversary Crop at Practical Scrappers!  They are having lots of fun challenges with awesome prizes!

My first challenge was to use yellow as the dominant color on your project.  This is about as yellow as I could stand...lol.  I used the sketch from this week's challenge at Scrapbook Steals.
My second challenge was to use a clown.  My kids are all clowns, but I didn't think that was what was meant.  This is my daughter and her classmates clowning around at the museum.
The sketch is from Stuck on U Sketches. :)

This was as far as I got today.  The sketch was challenge #7 from Practical Scrappers.  And the added challenge is from Scraproom Blog.  We had to make something "pop" off our project.  I used 3D butterflies, but I added pop dots to them to make them a little more dimensional.  The background paper is an ollld page from Time Savers.  I added some butterfly charms to the title tag for the ABC crop for My Sketch World.   I used them as the "A" for adornment.  :)
Now I'm tired and I desperately need a nap!   Hopefully I will get a few more challenges finished up today.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Autumn Tradition

YAY!  After an incredibly long and boring day at work, I thought for sure I would just go straight to bed when I got home.  I ate a quick dinner and regained some energy and pulled out the pictures.
This is for Sketches in Thyme.  I love all of their sketches!
The background paper is from DCWV Rustic Stack and so is the larger circle.  Miraculously, I found my Curvy Cutter System!  I cut the smaller circle from solid cardstock and added my favorite item lately, another doily.  I inked the doily two different shades of green.  The shiny leaves are from Prima and the other leaf is from Michael's.  The title was cut from a text page from a Colorbok kit from Target.  The letters are actually gold, but I couldn't get a decent picture.

NOW I'm ready to go to bed....zzzzzz

You make me smile

It's Anniversary Week at Practical Scrappers!  This whole week, we will be celebrating a whole year of fun and challenges! My first attempt for the design team went "live" on the blog today!  How exciting!!

Today's challenge was to use just one photo on a layout or project.
I love taking my kids to McDonald's once in a while for a treat and they have the coolest playground.  The hard part comes in when I'm trying to scrap the pictures.  I'm always looking for matching embellishments, papers....but of course, they have none of this.
The frame for this page is chipboard from a Colorbok page kit I had laying around.  The title is mostly made of vinyl Thickers letters.  The "M"'s I printed and cut out by hand.   And then, of course, I went a little button crazy.
Quick and simple, but I made the deadline!  It takes a little getting used to, and Erin has been AMAZINGLY patient with me!  Thanks Erin!

I guess I have to go do that work thing now....
The good news is that I'm almost finished with my next project!!  Now that the pressure is off, it's time to have fun!

My new adventure!!!

I am so excited to start my term as a new designer at Practical Scrappers!   I almost fell off my chair when I got the email!  I'm looking forward to lots of fun challenges and making new friends!
My first assignment (which was a little late) was a sketch challenge.
I love using my misting sprays and doilies.  I added a little bling to the doilies just to give them a little more embellishment.
The letters are from Thickers that I used inks on to make them match the page.

Is it possible to be so excited and nervous as heck at the same time??!!!

Wish me luck on my new adventure!  I'm going to need lots of help!  lol

Pig Day

Finishing up some pics from National Pig Day and I feel like I'm the one stuck in the mud!  I feel like this page is missing something and I can't figure it out.  I've stared at it way too long and I'm giving up!
More Miss Elizabeth papers.
The Pig Feltie is from the dollar section at Michael's.
The cute little piggy stickers are from Michael's.
The letter stickers are Doodlebug.
The sketch is from Sassy Lil' Sketches.  It's a new site I decided to join.  Looks like a lot of fun!

Quick and simple and now it's back to cleaning.....this place is a PIG STY!  lol

Quick and siml

Just Laugh

I have to work on some fun layouts today.  Dealing with the disaster in my room is just too depressing.  Everyone is still sleeping so I figured I would play a little bit before the hard work resumes.
I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.  All the papers are from a Miss Elizabeth kit that they used to sell at Dollar Tree.  They have stopped selling all scrapbook goodies.  :(
I added a few flower stickers from Sticko and topped them off with some buttons.
On the circles I added prima flowers and the title is rub on letters.
I'm going to use this one for the "summer" challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches this week too.
I haven't gotten many pool pics back yet.  And I know there are zillions!  Can't wait to get started on those!

Happy Sunday!
