Creative Scrappers #141

Last one before I head to bed. I guess I can't really use the weather as an excuse anymore...almost all of the streets have been cleared....darn!

This is sketch #141 from Creative Scrappers. I used a tearing ruler on vellum and then inked it in a few different shades of blue. The tag and die cut pieces are from Colorbok. I also added some pearl swirl bling to the waves to make it look a little prettier. :)

We Love Chocolate!!

I love these fun pictures from the Chocolate Fest last summer! I had no idea what to do with them until this great challenge at The Paper Variety popped up. They posted a fun photo of about a million conversation hearts. We could take any inspiration from the photo we wanted.
I don't have any Valentine's pictures...yet...so I decided to use candy as my inspiration.
I chose to use this week's multi-photo sketch from Sketch Inspiration. This is sketch #205.
I had to raid my daughter's stash for the ribbon. The fun chocolate candy stickers....are actually scented...now I have to find some real chocolate.... :)

Tiny Dancer

I had to dig deep to find some smaller pictures to fit this great sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.
These pictures are from when my oldest daughter was taking dance classes. She was about 6 years old in the pictures....she is going to be 21 in July. :)
I also dug deep into the stash to pull out these pretty papers from All My Memories Couture Collection. I used some fun rubon stitches around the patterned paper. I used the leftovers from my center piece to make these fun accordian flowers. I really would love to have a scoring board...it would make this so much easier! Guess it's going on my birthday list! I added some pretty flowers to the centers to keep them together....and because I love buttons! :)

More Resolutions done!

I hope you have been playing along with the Resolution Blog Hop at Let's Scrap! Time is running out! Luckily, (i guess) since I am snowed in for a while, I'm hoping to get the rest of the challenges finished.

Here is Cori's Resolution #4 challenge: Use a list on your page. I just got these adorable clipboards in the mail and they worked perfectly! I used a hodge podge of goodies from the stash. Let's Scrap sketch #ls122 was great! The memorabilia pocket was handy for all of our maps and brochures from our nature hike.

Resolution #9 from Mandy: Create something that makes you smile or laugh. I had these fun pictures of my sister in law who volunteered to babysit all her nieces and nephew overnight...lol. I hope we can convince her to do it again soon! These rubons from Karen Foster were a lot of fun to use and it was about time to use them.

Resolution #15 - Amy's challenge was to use the colors teal/yellow, grey/silver and use the word Happy somewhere. I was able to use a LOT of goodies from the stash.

If it's not snow..it's frigid temps!

Mother Nature really likes to wreak havoc around here. I called in and took another day off. I work in the middle of the city, and it's still pretty chaotic there, so driving is pretty dangerous. I figured I would stay home and play in the snow with the kids, but....it's 2 below zero right now! Oh well....I guess I will have to stay safe and warm and scrap alllll day....lol....darn!
I love this gorgeous sketch from Sketchabilities! I wish it were Spring and I had some pretty pictures of flowers to work with. I went with these nice pics of my two little ones. We were at all Fall Fest and while we were waiting for the hayride, I noticed this pretty bush. They were obviously more than happy to pose...lol

The die cut piece is from DCWV Flower Power stack. The flowers are from Michael's and I added buttons in the middle. The green strip is crepe paper from Hobby Lobby. And the fun felt leaves and stems are from Prima. The butterfly border is from ScrapBuck.
Hopefully, I will be able to get lots more done today! :)

Inspired Blueprints #65

I feel better working on Spring pictures all day. This snow and now the frigid temps coming tomorrow are really starting to depress me. All this snow and it's too stinkin' cold to play. :(

I thought this was a pretty sketch from Inspired Blueprints. I loved the bow in the sketch and of course, I couldn't make one myself to save my life. :(

I placed a doily on the background paper and then misted the whole page in black. The strip was made with my border punch and then I just used a black marker to make a stripe down the center. The butterfly stickers are from a few different places in the stash. :)

Now the big debate is whether to stay home again tomorrow or brave the cold and go to work....hmm.....

Snowed in!

Since there is NO way I will be able to get out of the house today, looks like I'll be scrapping my little heart out!
This is a page I made with a sketch from Stuck on U Sketches. These are some fun pictures from one of the Spring festivals. I REALLY can't wait for Spring!!
I also used a fun ribbon challenge from Erin at Sketches4All. She wanted us to think outside the box and use ribbon in a different and unique way. My best effort was to braid 3 different kinds of ribbon together. I also used some fun metal brads that were hiding in the stash. :)
