Good Things

Hello again!  Here is a page I finished up this morning:

This was time consuming but a lot of fun!
I dug way down deep into the stash to find my quilling supplies.
I tend to forget I have this stuff!
And it doesn't help that I have a kitty that insists on "helping" with the thin strips of papers...
The feathers have been in the drawer for years -so happy to have found some inspiration to finally use them.

Here is the challenge #729 from Lasting Memories - Amy Genser's mixed media work that uses rolled paper pieces (like quilling) and paint, entitled "Urchin Underbelly" that inspired me:

I knew I had these pictures of peacocks and this image made me think of quilling right away.

Always a good feeling to use up old stash!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Autumn Leaves

 Good morning!

Here is another Fall page I made using lots of mixed media:

I was inspired by challenge #727  from Lasting Memories:
Alexandra Ackerman's mixed media work using watercolor, colored pencil and gouache, entitled "Hovering Orbs on a Blue Grid."

I used stencil butters, watercolors, distressed sprays and cutting dies to create the frame around my photo.

Love playing with mixed media goodies!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!  I am so grateful to have an amazing family to spend the day with, friends near and far that share my love of this hobby and health and happiness for all!

I am getting ready to host dinner for my family today and I can't wait to get started on this long weekend.

Here is my first page:

Inspired by challenge # 726 from Lasting Memoriesbe inspired by Jen P. Harris' mixed media work entitled "Parte Incognita."

The bright colors were so fun and you can never go wrong with hexagons!

Natural Beauty

My daughter sure loves to pose for gorgeous pictures!
Here she is at the sunflower farm with some props:

It took me a bit to find just the right color scheme I wanted to use.
One can only use so much yellow on sunflower pages...lol.

I used this beautiful sketch from the Scrappy Friends challenge with Rochelle  Spears:

I love all the bunches of flowers.
Perfect for my pictures.

Thanks for stopping by!

Devilish

Good morning!  It's a brisk Fall day today and before we head out for a birthday party, I'm working on a few Halloween pages from last years' pics.

My daughter was having fun using the filters on her phone and took this adorably devilish picture.

I played with the Scrappy Friends challenge and used Stacy's Tic Tac Toe board:

I went across the bottom and used flowers, a banner and some brads.
Happy to use up more of the felt web that has been taking up space forever...lol.

Thanks for stopping by!!
