WELCOME HOME

Sometimes 2 page layouts really give me a hard time.  But for a Disney trip, where I take HUNDREDS of pictures, sometimes, it comes in handy.

I used quite a few flowers to give it the Polynesian / tropical feel.
So happy to have found these bonus stickers at the resort - perfect for my tags.

Here is the sketch from Let's Scrap that was my inspiration:

ALMOST TIME

One of the best parts of a Disney vacation is the prep and countdown!

This week's challenge from Lasting Memories was to use stars.
These were some larger adhesive, vellum-like stars that I picked up at Tuesday Morning.
I colored them with red marker - and HOPED it would not rub off,...so far, so good!
I also added a copy of a celebration button.  I have tons of buttons, but they are too bulky to add to the actual page.

TIANA

So my goal for May was to finally get started on my 2017 Disney vacation album.
With the help of quite a few National Scrapbook Day Challenges, I'm already off to a great start!

Here is a page for Princess  Tiana - whom I had never seen before!
I used up some really old MME papers, a floral scrap strip, and fun flowers.  I've had this set of pink floral leaves forever, just waiting for a page like this.

My inspiration came from the sketch challenge by Rochelle Spears:
The added challenge was to use floral patterned paper.

Spring morning

Here is another scout outing page where I was able to sneak in some flowers...lol.
It's proving to be not that difficult to do!

My inspiration for this page was the 1 page sketch from Stick it Down

Moving up the Ranks

Here is yet another scout page.  This is my little guy "moving up the ranks" at the annual ranking ceremony.

This was fun as I used the colors of all the different ranks as my geometrical background.

The inspiration for this page was from Let's Get Sketchy:

BIG adventure

This was a fun page to work on.
I pulled out the jute to use as an accent and a hanger for my banner title.

This page was inspired by sketch #150 from Sketch n Scrap:

Scouting Friends

After working with nothing but Blue and Gold colors, I decided to focus on the (awful) floor tiles from these photos.

Instead of using circles, I switched it up and used squares to match the pattern of the floor.
