Just add water

Really not sure if I like this one or not.  It doesn't help that I can't get a good picture of it right now.  

The sketch is from Sketches in Thyme.  I haven't worked with big circles in a while, so I was happy when this sketch popped up.

I added lots of bling to my circle and used some glittered swirlies from K&Company.  

I also glimmer misted a doily or two.

Not sure if I like the flowers or not...can't decide if they were the right element to add to the page....

The wave and the title are from Karen Foster.  They were from a set of rubons from years ago.  

The H2O was made from Thickers, inked in blue.

Sassy lil' Fall sketch

I am in LOVE with the Apple Cider Collection from Imaginisce!  It is so adorable!  I went back and bought some of the chipboard embellishments....now I NEED the rubons and more stickers!

The leaves are from Michael's.  I"m finding lots of awesome fall stuff now.  The papers are from DCWV- Linen and Amber Autumn.

I used a fun sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches.  Love that the pictures are all the same size, just offset.

Down on the Farm

I almost passed on this week's sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.  I didn't think I had enough pictures, or the right size.   8 little pictures are hard to find!  I was able to crop these down enough to make them fit on the page...and it's 8 pictures out of the stack!  WOOHOO!!!!

The papers are from Reminisce and I think they are soooo cute!  So glad I had them to work with.

Not sure about the title stickers...I had cut the top of the sheet off to fit in the PSB.  So I have no idea who the manufacturer is....

I added a little bit of burlap and some jute as accents here and there.  And of course, no page is really complete without a button somewhere.

Sllooowwwllyyy scrapping...

I feel like I haven't really scrapped in ages!  It's so hard to get motivated lately.  I guess the weather change is really starting to take its toll on me....

Here is this week's challenge at Practical Scrappers...which was to use ribbon on your page.  I used quite a few different colors and textures of ribbons that were in the scrap bag.

Julie Bonner created this 2 page sketch for the September challenge at Let's Scrap.  This pictures were in the "mouse"ellaneous file.  I never could find just the right sketch for them.  I decided to put them all on a "character" page.  Great sketch and more pictures out of the vacation file!  :)
I used some miscellaneous bling and epoxy Mickey head stickers.  The other stickers are from Creative Imaginations.
Sketch-a-ton challenge #8!  Loved this sketch!  And I still have zillions of Fall pictures!  Still sticking with the Fall/School themed challenge at Sketches4all!  So far, so good....

Everything on this page came from a Colorbok kit I found at Michael's.  The kit was on clearance for $5!  And there is TONS left!  
Today is my day off, so I think I might squeeze in a little shopping trip to the lss....shhh..!!!!!

My latest challenges...

I've been spending lots of time doing Fall activities with the kids lately.  I love this time of year and I can't wait for the colors to start changing on the trees.  

My first page was for Sketches in Thyme.

Sketch Inspiration #141 - A quick and simple page.  But I was happy that I was able to include a little schedule for the team and our tickets from that day's game.

I've been having  a lot of fun playing the Sketch - a - ton challenges at Sketches4all.  Every other day, a new challenge is posted.  It could be a card, a layout, a bookmark, ...you never know what's coming up.  I'm trying to stick to the second part of the challenge and use Fall themes or School themes.  Soooo glad to be able to finish up last year's pictures.

Cousins Reunion

The challenge this week on Frosted Designs was to use a Family Quote.  I had these awesome pictures of my cousins from our impromptu reunion.  I haven't seen them in YEARS!  I'm making a whole album of the zillions of picture we took.  

I went with another old kit from 3 Bugs in a Rug.  I love looking for one piece of paper and running across tons of other stuff I forgot I even had!  I need to just sift through everything once in a while.  These papers are just too pretty to just sit on a shelf.  

The quote was one  I pulled out of The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word for Scrapbookers.  Another book I totally forgot I had!

The sketch is this week's challenge at the Scraproom Blog.  I love playing with all the different sketches and once in a while, there is a cool challenge to play with.

Gotta love having Tuesdays off!!

Practical Reveal and a sketch-a-ton

I was really happy to see that this week's challenge at Practical Scrappers was buttons!  I LOVE buttons!!!  I couldn't wait for the DT reveal to see what everyone else came up with.  Now I need to add more buttons to the shopping list.  It's almost like a staple, like milk and bread...I always need buttons!  

I think I pretty much use at least one button on every page in one way or another.  

I "Glimmer Misted" a few doilies green, to make them look like trees.  Then I added lots of buttons to represent apples on the trees.  The trunks of the trees were made with torn Core'dinations Cardstock.  

These next few pages are from the Sketch-a-ton Challenge at Sketches4all.  Every other day, a sketch or challenge will be revealed and you have until the end of the month to finish them up.  You get points for every challenge finished and if you use a Fall or School theme, you get an extra point.  I have LOTS of Fall pictures from last year.  So I'm pretty happy to have incentive to get them finished before this year's pictures hit the stack!

I LOVE these little felt stickers I found at Michael's!  Little scarecrows and the sunflowers!  TOO CUTE!  I'm heading into Michael's today to see what other goodies they have for Fall.

For this page, I added some corrugated paper and a little burlap to make it pop a little more.  I also distressed the edge of the circle a bit.  And more of those cute little felties.  :)

The titles on both of these pages were made with these little cardstock letters that were so popular a few years ago.  I had to have them in all colors and styles.  I'm so glad I am finally finding a use for them.  Gotta clean out that old stuff!

Speaking of cleaning out the old stash, I had a few school stickers from last year that I wanted to use up before I bought new stuff.  This was another sketch challenge from the sketch-a-ton.

I usually don't do cards, but I had some scraps and decided to put together a card for the next challenge.  It's good to go through the scrap box sometimes.  You never know what you might find....
And lastly, so far...is a Back to School tag.  I tried to keep in mind that this is going to fit on a page soon.  The tag was cut from the "chalkboard" paper and then I added a few school stickers.  Quick and simple, and I can't wait to use it on a page.
So today's challenge is to make a bookmark.  My daughter has been begging me to buy her one, so now I have a great reason to make one.  I hope I win her approval!
