MUAH!!

I loved that we had a great photographer when we were taking these pictures.  She was so fun and we have so many great shots!

I hand stitched the Mickey head for this page.  I have seen so many great ideas and I want lots of those in my album, so I have to mix up how I handle them.

This is the sketch I used - from Sketches in Thyme #323:

The Poly Village

Here we are taking a break, deciding the next step after we check into the resort.  It was such a beautiful day, we just wanted to sit and breathe in the air and revel in the thought that we were back "home".

I used sketch #324 from Sketches in Thyme to whip out this quick page.

Our Incredible Vacation starts now!

Gotta love when you finally have a use for stickers that you just HAD to have and that have been in the drawer FOREVER!

Here is the night we started our vacation.  As you can see - none of us could sleep.  Time for some silly pics and practice with towel animals.

I used sketch #152 from Sketch N Scrap for my inspiration:

BIG THUNDER

This was fun as I was able to use a few pages from some textures stacks I bought at Joann's.

I used burlap and corrugated 6x6 papers.
I also used cork for my alphas.
I got this idea from the "cork" challenge from Archiscraps.
To add a bit more, I used jute and buttons.
LOTS of texture on this page!

I used this month's 2 page sketch from Stick it Down:

WELCOME HOME

Sometimes 2 page layouts really give me a hard time.  But for a Disney trip, where I take HUNDREDS of pictures, sometimes, it comes in handy.

I used quite a few flowers to give it the Polynesian / tropical feel.
So happy to have found these bonus stickers at the resort - perfect for my tags.

Here is the sketch from Let's Scrap that was my inspiration:

ALMOST TIME

One of the best parts of a Disney vacation is the prep and countdown!

This week's challenge from Lasting Memories was to use stars.
These were some larger adhesive, vellum-like stars that I picked up at Tuesday Morning.
I colored them with red marker - and HOPED it would not rub off,...so far, so good!
I also added a copy of a celebration button.  I have tons of buttons, but they are too bulky to add to the actual page.

TIANA

So my goal for May was to finally get started on my 2017 Disney vacation album.
With the help of quite a few National Scrapbook Day Challenges, I'm already off to a great start!

Here is a page for Princess  Tiana - whom I had never seen before!
I used up some really old MME papers, a floral scrap strip, and fun flowers.  I've had this set of pink floral leaves forever, just waiting for a page like this.

My inspiration came from the sketch challenge by Rochelle Spears:
The added challenge was to use floral patterned paper.
