Splish Splash

Me again!
Back to Summer!  I found some pool pictures to work with this time.  I can't wait till all of the pool parties and all the Summer fun to follow!

Here is one from last year:

We were also given the option to use this sketch:

This was for the teal sequins color challenge at White with 1.
Not only did I use  the teal color and white - I also found teal sequins in the stash to add to my page.  Taking pictures of them is so difficult!  I either get a bad glare or they look black..oh well!

Exploring Summer

Hello again!!  Not that I want Fall to get here too quickly, but for the challenge at Scrap Our Stash, I pulled out some Fall-ish pictures.
Along with the sketch challenge, we had to use supplies that began with each letter of the word SUMMER.

Here is my page:

And here is the list of supplies I used:

S - stickers
U - Uniball pen
M - mats
M- My Mind's Eye papers
E - enamel dots
R - ribbon

And here is the sketch:

Sweet!

Good morning!!  So happy that baseball season is over!  sad the boys didn't do well, but wow!  They had an amazing season, tons of fun...and now I have tons of time!!

Here is something I put together yesterday:

I used this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

This was a lot of fun and I was able to shake some dust off of my hexagon punches.

It's a Boy Thing

Here is page I made with bugs!!  lol!
I've had these bug rub ons for a very long time and was surprised that I could actually get them to work correctly.

I did this page for the "It's a Guy Thing" from Connie Can Crop.

That beetle or spider thing on the side creeps me out....just saying...

Pretty in Pink

Now that I managed to complete a few "boy" pages, I used the challenge from Cookin" Up Creations to do this page.
The challenge was to be inspired by the movie Pretty in Pink - and to add the word Pretty somewhere on your page, the color pink and the color gold.  I used a CM punch on some gold paper to add some hearts.

This sketch from Creative Scrappers was my placement inspiration:

Dad Knows Best

I used this Subway art challenge from Granddiva to figure out where to start:
We were to choose a saying from the art board:

And then I put it all together with this sketch from Sketch N Scrap:

Let's Set Sail

Time with the hubby is so rare nowadays.  It's such a treat to finally be able to get away for a bit.
We were lucky enough to be invited to a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan.  We had a great time!

I used this 2 page sketch from Let's Scrap:

And this inspirational picture from Creative Embellishments:
I also added my nautical pieces  - the anchors - lighthouse and compass:

Ridin' the rails

Everywhere we go, no matter how old we are, we always have to ride the kiddie train!
Here was a trip we took to a local museum that had a train that took us for a ride around the scenic grounds.

I used this Tic Tac Toe challenge from Scrap Our Stash.
I went across the top - Red - Buttons and Ribbon.
I chose this pictures to work with the "things that go" challenge at Cookin' Up Creations:

Happy Father's Day

I know, I'm a couple of days late, but we were out enjoying the day.  This picture was actually taken last year.  This is Grandpa with most of his grandkids.
Quick Quote had a challenge to complete a project that was masculine.  I thought Father's Day would be great.

My inspiration was this sketch from Stuck?! sketches:

Lego Mania!

Nothing like seeing the Master Creators and their creations on a trip to Legoland!
Here are some pics of the creations of Chicago.

I was motivated to scrap these pictures by this color combo offered up by Scrap the Boys.  The first thing to come to mind were Boys and Legos:

Hello - Atlantic Hearts~

Trying something new this time.  I saw this challenge site named Atlantic Hearts and although it looks like a card sketch, I thought I would use it for a page.
My oval cutter was of course, not the right size, so I put a few oval together and it gave the mat a scalloped look.
The color combo came from the Taste of Color Challenge from The Scraproom Group on FB.
The title and these papers have been in the stash FOREVER!
Finally found the perfect solution to using them!

Cousin's Wedding

Hello all!  Today I want to share a couple of layouts I made with some pictures from a cousin's wedding.  The Mother of the Bride was kind enough to send us these beautiful pictures that taken.

The first page I made using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme #280.  In addition to using the sketch, I played with the challenge at Another Freaking Scrapping Challenge which was to use a wedding as your theme:

For the second page, I played along with 1-2-3 Challenges.  The challenge this time was to use:
1.  White (my background paper that was lightly misted)
2.  Love (chipboard title that I covered in Stickles)
3.  Bling (the floral piece I used has bling and I also added pearl bling brads)

I also used a new sketch from Sketchabilities for this page:

Siblings

This has to be one of my most favorite pictures of my 3 kids!  lol!
Jason looks so left out,..but he didn't want to do a funny pose, so the girls did their best without him.  He looks mad, but that's his "they are so crazy, I don't know them" face...lol

I used the single page sketch from Stick It Down:

Dressed for Success!

Since I just HAD to have this cute little graduation gown, I figured there was no other time to finally use than now!

I used this sketch from Memory Nest #89.

So happy to use up the old stash!  And the owls are so stinkin cute!

You did it!!

While I had all the graduation goodies on my desk, I grabbed this picture of my niece and her high school graduation.  I added the tickets to the page too.  I love saving stuff like that.  :)

Here is the sketch I used from Scrapping Clearly

Congrats Grad!

Yes, more graduation pictures!
My dd was lucky enough to be chosen to recite a graduation poem she had written (that will be featured in another layout).
Here she is at the podium and receiving her award.  So Proud!

I used this sketch from Rochelle Spears.
Again, more old stash too!  This grad owl and stack of books are a set that has been around for a long time.  I feel so accomplished having finally used them!

Class of 2016

LOVE how this page turned out!  I had many more flowers on this page and had to remove some...lol.  It's still alot but I love it!
I bought this huge title piece last year and I feel like it 's been around forever!
And this professional picture of my grad was the perfect addition!

I used this gorgeous sketch from Scrap the Girls:
