Lasting Memories #742

Good morning!  So happy that's it's almost Spring!  The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer and I am a new member of the Lasting Memories Design Team!!

I have been playing along with their challenges for years and I love them all.  The challenges help you think outside the box and certainly help bash some stash.

My first Design Team challenge is #742 - to create a project using a circle divided into pie shapes.

I chose to use a compass as my circle, divided by the different directions and multiple pictures.

I cut 2 large circles, inked the edges and then using a black marker, marked all the tiny orienting lines found on a compass.

I dug through the stash and found some wooden arrows and a giant brad for the center.
I tried to cut my pictures down to fit into each sector, but they were just too awesome and I would have lost a lot of detail.
These pictures are part of my daughter's adventures in Colorado.
I then had to add some Nuvo drops just for an added touch....and I like playing with them...lol.

I am so excited to be part of a great team and I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the year!

Stop by the Lasting Memories blog to see the great ideas that the Design Team has come up with for this challenge!

Toon Lagoon

I am sticking with my goal to get more projects completed this year.  Right now I am still focused on Universal Studios from 2022.  I don't have much to do, so my goal is by the end of February - moved up from the end of March.

Here is a fun page I did today:

I crossed over Universal pics with a Disney collection.
The colors were perfect for the fun, colorful look I wanted.

I need to learn how to cross over more collections like this!

Every day is a chance to find magic

 Happy New Year to all!!

I am so happy to have been able to finish up 2 separate trips over this holiday break!  New Orleans and Punta Cana are officially done, and put into proper albums.  Such a daunting task, but I am so glad it's done.

On to the next adventure!  We spent a few days in Universal Studios.  Luckily, I do not have stacks of pictures to work on.  I am going to set a goal of March 31st to have this project completed.

Lasting Memories challenge #731 is to use a sketch as your starting point.  I LOVE sketches!!

Here is my page:

I sure hope I use up a lot of the Harry Potter stuff that I over bought!

Here is my sketch inspiration - the January 2025 sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine:

On to the next!

Merry and Bright

Hello again!  Wrapping up some Christmas pictures from last year:

This was from our trip to see the zoo lights.
Tonight we are heading out for the 2024 trip!

I think I am now done with 2023 Christmas and I can safely get 2024 pics printed.

Thanks for stopping  by!!!

Baby, it's cold outside!

This is one of my favorite pages this year!  I LOVE how this turned out!

I used stencils, stencil butters and Nuvo Drops to create my background.

I added some stickers on pop dots, and some snowflake buttons.

I used some large circles, a die cut circle, and snowflake buttons.

And I adore this picture of my granddaughter!

Fun Photo Op

Good morning!  It's crunch time to wrap up some projects from this year.  I am just about down with our trip to New Orleans and I am determined to get it done before year's end.

Here is page I made with some fun random pics:

I made this page for the December challenge from Lasting Memories which was a Second chance challenge.
I chose this color challenge - #719 from September:

Lots of scraps which will be my 2025 goal!

Good Things

Hello again!  Here is a page I finished up this morning:

This was time consuming but a lot of fun!
I dug way down deep into the stash to find my quilling supplies.
I tend to forget I have this stuff!
And it doesn't help that I have a kitty that insists on "helping" with the thin strips of papers...
The feathers have been in the drawer for years -so happy to have found some inspiration to finally use them.

Here is the challenge #729 from Lasting Memories - Amy Genser's mixed media work that uses rolled paper pieces (like quilling) and paint, entitled "Urchin Underbelly" that inspired me:

I knew I had these pictures of peacocks and this image made me think of quilling right away.

Always a good feeling to use up old stash!
